Welcome, to anyone stumbling across my profile!

I started getting myself into anime at the age of 6 and have almost been nonstop ever since, with my first (not named Pokemon, Naruto, or Dragon Ball) being surprisingly Code Geass. I've been grinding to watching way more anime as I tend to be very curious about the comparisons, discussions, and reviews revolving around each anime. I also elected to read a lot more manga, light novels, and visual novels for the same reasons. You might realize that I'm very harsh with my opinions as I tend to act really critical but don't assume that I'm a blatant hater as I enjoy any type of medium. It's just that there are a lot of stinkers to me that compare and contrast ones I like or admire. Biased, I know, but that's what it is. Also, I'm welcome to any type of discussion! Just please, make it civil.

The source material, I’d say it has its own charms. I liked the way Fujimoto panels his manga, especially when it’s used to show the passing of time, which I really liked. Other than that, there’s the usual praises Fujimoto gets for his manga series, whether it’s the way he shades to how he draws certain character actions. It’s worth the read if you liked the anime adaption.

the anime adaptation enhanced what the one-shot originally had, I can definitely say that the anime is better than the source material in this case

That is an interesting way to see it, a pretty refreshing perspective from the "she's just like me for real" stuff you see being talked about as the show's selling point. Not that is wrong, but not everyone could relate to a set of fictional characters. I could see what you are saying here, it is often difficult for socially-inept people to find a place they belong (besides their own family, potentially) and the group's acceptance of bocchi, indirectly encouraging to slowly be more open, gradually allows her to express her love for music to others beyond behind a screen.

P.S: Did you remove your MAL notes about it? It might be just me but I couldn't see them haha, and I don't really know how to use anilist.
