Yes, I should have more faith in technology torn in between current and future. A Ghost in the Shell kind of future would definitely be a great stepping stone to deep space travels.
I would sure love to snowboard in Earth's distant cousin stuck in the Ice Age like Próxima Centauri B. Snowboarding can be exciting despite being limited to colder regions. Proxima Centauri B could also make hockey a more universal sport. Potatoes would also have a population boom like never before. Christmas in July being closer to reality.
I also remember dial-up before the rise of cable, but the 90s was a lot of fun anyway.
I kind of miss those days when I flipped between TechTV and Encore Action with the remote control for anime. Anime On Demand was a wonderful feat, no buffering or server problems getting in the way of watching anime.
As for anime, I'm still eager to watch new Macross content that my tomboyish half-Asian friend your age told me about fairly recently. More Macross movies besides the classic" Do You Remember Love?" would be great. Having CGI comparable to Blue Submarine no. 6 would be great to see.
My Canadian friend would sure love to see more of Romi Park if that's possible. She should play as a pilot, a child or both.
Romi Park did great as Loran in Turn A and Lu Sheng Mao in Zegapain.
Truth be told, it's from the sequel QD. I was also wondering if you saw various other manga with fairly similar art, but as we can see, QD's artwork is seemingly one of a kind.
Most artwork is still like a fingerprint that can't be easily replicated.
QD, as you can see, is about a whole other generation of futuristic exorcists and their duty of keeping the city safe from lucifer hawks, walking in their predecessors' footsteps. Who knows what kind of lifeforms live in another universe.
I'm no scientist, but even I can tell that life predates the big bang. Everyone knows that the multiverse is very complex.
Sometimes, I get into entertainment with parallel worlds. It's been a while since I last played Breakdown which has a character and an antagonist from another universe. Only one character from that other universe was helping the supersoldier protagonist, kind of like Captain America (having awakened in a laboratory), prevent a cataclysm from happening. The story of an enhanced human's life.
One thing that Star Ocean 3 and Gundam SEED have in common is that they both have genetically engineered characters. Genetic engineering, as we can see, is the future and only manufactured earthlings can make it to various exoplanets without feeling the harsh effects from deep space. Like radiation and anthropy.
Maybe in the next life I'll be an enhanced human able to explore Earth's distant cousins. Hopefully one that isn't Gunsmoke which is too hot, dusty and dry like the Sahara Desert. I'll take an extrasolar water world any day so I can surf.
We all know by now is that a vat of toxic waste won't enhance anyone.
I had no idea you were as married as said semitomboy about your age. I'm still interested in my girlfriend from North Carolina and I would sure to sit right next to her with her eyes glued to digital copies of manga on a tablet. That or physical manga. She read a bunch of manga I've never heard of.
Lindbergh is one manga I'll have a hard time finding, but at least I can read it in Japanese instead of German like said girlfriend did. I just have to keep my eyes peeled for infrequently used particles. Ten that no one will ever use on average.
By the way, have you ever seen any artwork like this before?
I've only started emulating the original VN, but I will say that Ichiro Ogami and the main samurai girl spent quality time together in the theater while doing nightwatch together. Kind of like they were dating.
Ichiro Ogami didn't have a tough beginning like Shinjiro Taiga when he got his first trip to America. I still relate to Shinjiro Taiga's struggles more.
The only Sakura Wars character that I want to hit real hard is that arrogant little lesbian Anri. Always jealous of Sakura Wars 5's main young man and infuriating someone in the audience every time she gets screentime. If Skuld had an evil sister, then it would be that brat and what's so special about her blonde crush Cherry anyway? Cheiron Archer is much cooler with more character development.
Anri is basically a poor man's Skuld to me and at least Skuld was a decent kid. Worst character ever to be designed by Kōsuke Fujishima.
Anyway, that's an interesting point of view regarding Gundam Wing which I might re-watch some time after I'm done with Witch From Mercury season 2. It's no Fafner or Zegapain (kind of reminds me of Star Ocean 3), but Witch From Mercury is a little better than other anime so far. It made me desperately wait for the climatic season one finale.
Motoko is one of the few tomboyish protagonists that I know besides Virginia Maxwell. Her being a tomboy is very easy for me to relate to.
I meant to say Gundam Wing (bad Lenovo, bad!), but yes, that's the anime a semitomboy about your age told me that she re-watched years ago before she married a Chinese man. Obviously over 30 like me; that same semitomboy was also a big fan many things sci-fi and she told me that she learned Japanese decades ago. She probably watched the recent SEED movie without subtitles.
Speaking of Japanese, I might need it for Sakura Wars (it's a better franchise than Sega themselves think) and the original SNES Star Ocean which is underrated because of that PSP remake. Us westerns only know Star Ocean 2, 3, 4 and 5. I have yet to watch the anime called EX which I hope is as good as Twilight Venom (not a lot of anime are that western or Old West).
With that said, what do you love most about Gundam Wing? That anime brings back memories from childhood and I re-watched it one time because I forgot to watch Endless Waltz.

Have you been studying Japanese too and what do you like most about Motoko Kusanagi?
I haven't re-watched Gundam SEED in like forever.
