MY ANIME LIST PAGE IS NOT UPDATED. IT'S BEEN MONTHS SINCE I ACTUALLY DID ANYTHING WITH IT ASIDE FROM A FEW THINGS ON THE SIDE. PLEASE LOOK AT HUMMINGBIRD IF YOU WANT MY ACTUAL OPINIONS ON THINGS:
Sorry if I came off as a little accusatory. I still like your reviews. But you still have a tendency (or did) to overuse the word pretentious (just look at your anime list's comments on shows such as Fate/Zero and others).
Yeah, I could see that because of the low amounts you had in your statistics, but I was just asking what you thought of the system. Though I guess you would need to be able to use the system to its fullest to see if it's good or not. Well, sorry to bother you.
I know this is kind of out of nowhere, but I was wondering, what do you think of MAL's anime compatibility function? I don't hear many people talk about it, and at times I find it a bit weird, it says I have a 76% high compatibility with DraconisMarch and a 76.3% with you, and that seems a bit high given our different tastes in anime.
Watched your review of Mangongo Madoka and another brilliant video like usual. Not having watched the series myself I'm not going to comment too much on it but I did have some thoughts.
It comes across as a story that really needs more than12 episodes for what it wants to do. It seems to be typical of the writer, his stuff often has a good premise yet somewhere something foes wrong, his premises are let down by story issues and bland characters.
You raise the point that Midgeta Mango doesn't resolve things, I'm not entirely certain if that's always a bad thing though. Not everything in real life is always neatly wrapped up and resolved and I think a story can leave something open, some questions unanswered.
Yet I won't deny that it is anoying when something is brought up (either intentionally or not) and is then never addressed again.
Take Fate/Zero and Irisviel, the story fails to deal with the contradiction of having a supposedly good person willingly taking part in the Grail war, which involves killing others.
As for characters, again no having watched Magic Munchkin I won't give any particular view on them but it does appear to be a problem with the author's writing. Characters who have only one aspect to them. I have nothing against a character being indecisive say as long as it isn't the only thing to their personality.
Oh, you're working on a Gurren Lagann review? I would be interesting in seeing it. Yeah, I know how life can get the way of certain things. Though I don't make reviews so I am just talking about in general. I say do the important stuff and then do what you love.
