Until you create a review for Spirited Away, you should stop wasting your life watching and reviewing anime, I could agree with most of your scoring though some of them are just horrendous. Like I enjoyed Shingeki no Bahamut but the ending was just thrash as opposed to something like Angel Beats.

i saw your review of Fairy Tail (2014), and even if it's an old review, i just want to say something. let's be fair to Fairy Tail's story about how you say the arcs almost always don't have some kind of connection at all. most of the canon arcs have Zeref as a connection. Lullaby and Deliora are demons created by Zeref. The Tower of Heaven was controlled by someone who believed in Zeref. and as for the "The characters lose sight of their goals and every 10th / 20th episode they suddenly remember it." again let's be fair, SHIT HAPPENS!!! Just imagine how stupid it would be if instead of trying to save Lucy and protect the guild from Phantom Lord, Natsu would be like "Nah, Screw you guys, i'm gonna go look for my dragon parent who may or may not be dead".... but this is getting a bit long here. i loved your review, and i agree on a lot of things you mention, but i am one of those people who doesn't care about it's faults. only reason i'm writing this is because i wanted to point these things out.

Siegfried & Reinhardt was never gay, it was more along the lines of close camaraderie. Like how Guts and Griffith was before shit hit the fan. I don't know why but you're the second person to say something like that to me recently and I find it puzzling. Maybe because I've seen and understood this character dynamic in other media that I get it but I can't get behind that statement of yours. All I'm worried about is Production I.G making them lifeless characters since they're known for that.

hah yea I know man. On one hand a new LotGH sounds amazinnnngg... but on the other hand I don't want it to stain the name of the franchise. I just hope they can atleast capture the same charm.

And the novel is actually my all time favorite book so my love for the book is also directly responsible for me loving the anime. But honestly the book is leagues ahead of the anime since it had more time to flesh out the characters and portray the story better.

I haven't watched Chaos Dragon but from hearing how the treat death like it's a game I could imagine how dumb it is.
I never liked Drr, to me it's average at best. A much inferior copy to Baccano

yea this season is "meh" but in comparison to winter and spring of this year it has the hghest overage average for the shows I've watched. Most of spring was 2-4/10 this season is 4-6/10 so it's still shit but better shit.
And yea Ushio is the only show I feel have potential. It really tug on that nostalgia bone with the retro aesthetic. It's cool that Mappa didn't try to change it to fit modern times, but at best it might be a 7 and at worst a 5 if all it has to offer is nostalgia fanservice.
I had my eye on Gangsta mostly because Manglobe created some of my all time favorites. After the flop that was Flamenco I was hoping they could make a comeback to their glory days with Gangsta. Unfortunately it's trying to much to be edgy and mature but it doesn't have the right pedigree of writing to back it up. It's like if Tarantino made a film with his usual over the top hyper violence but try to present it seriously. At best Gangsta would be a fun rule of cool and at worst a try-hard that doesn't know how to take it down a notch.
Shimoneta is pretty funny for now. It reminds me of the Super Sentai formula but replacing justice with deviant perverted stuff. Last low brow comedic satire I saw that was good was Panty and Stocking but I doubt Shimoneta would ever reach that level. should make for a nice timepasser though.

the seasons would never get good lol I've only been watching seasonal recently and it seems like anime is just repeating the same titles every season. We get a ecchi set in a school, a rom com set in a school, a bishounen superpower show set in a school, moe blob slice of life set in a school.. so on and so forth. It's literally the same titles with slight variation everytime. Only every now and then do we get anything that's worth it.

Okay, maybe you have a different watch-scale from me, because I personally rarely watch anime below 8, and practically never below 7, so take that into your mean average calculator, and I'd get virtually zero anime to watch if the mean score should be at 5...

Now getting back onto the show:

If this show was black and white, then good guys wouldn't kill, and we'd be stuck in the same cliches as with the majority of other anime's. BOOOOORING.
The ending wasn't superb, maybe it did go all gory and over the top fighting, but I'm looking at it in general.

But my point - there are a lot of anime with troubled protagonists, few that spare us of this.

Dude, you give me the vibe of a seriously depressed guy. Your summary of my review is at the very least - inaccurate, but more like just insulting. All your reviews are less than 6, so I'm sorry (scratch that, I'm not) if you don't like the sunsets, but not everyone is as mopy as you are.

I gave the show a seven because I enjoyed it despite the fact that it was not good by many standards. I don't know why I enjoyed it as much as I did, but I did so I figured giving it a three would be dishonest and imply I didn't care for it at all. Visuals are also a pretty important part of anime so I figured I should be lenient. I don't need you reviewing my review, thanks.
