I do rate manga and anime differently as my interests in either are different. However there is one thing in common. How much did I enjoy the series despite however many flaws it had. My enjoyment of the series is the single largest factor in my rating of it.

* A little about me *
I tend to be serious minded / often cynical, but my friends all say I'm goofy. I'm not above some pointless comedy and outright weirdness. I enjoy all types of anime but gravitate more towards action/ shonen series. My favorite themes are either hi-tech / sci-fi or magic related. Occasionally I step outside my norm and enjoy a good slice of life, psychological, or philosophical title as well. I don't handle depressing series well, but as you can see I have a few of those highly rated in my list. They didn't start out depressing and still ended up being very good.
