About Me
What can I say? I'm an anime-lover. Yeah, I just realized that really doesn't help define me here that much since--I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say--I imagine anyone on this site also defines him or herself as such.
When it comes to anime, I tend to lean toward Romance, Drama, Slice of Life, and the like; however, I do watch pretty much any type, as long as it's good. I generally stay away from bland, anime that lacks a good plot or character development.
Me, myself, I'm a fairly out-going guy and, yet, still shy. That said, I'm always down to chat (message) and I'm always, always willing to lend a helping hand or an ear.
Oh, and trolls scare me. I run and hide if I ever see one (usually, underneath the closest bridge, as that seems like a logical choice to me at the time).
The Scoring Categories of How I Rate Anime
Basically, I clump my ratings in to one of five categories with most categories having more than one numerical rating value included within it. While there won’t be much difference within a specific category, I try to balance it the best I can. As a side-note, it seems like I lose my subjectivity when returning to anime after not watching for a while or when I watch a new genre and, consequently, rate that specific anime higher than it ought to be. It's worth noting by re-watching highly rerated anime, I have been able to catch this lapse in subjectivity.
Below is a brief break-down:
Personally Recommend Regardless of Preferences (10’s)
Strong Recommendations (8's and 9's)
Lesser Recommendations (6's and 7’s)
Okay Sometimes but a Bit Rough (4’s and 5’s)
Personally Recommended to Avoid and Not Even Funny, Bad (1’s, 2’s, and 3’s)
(Another way: avoid 1-4's, watch 7-10's, & 5-6's are a toss-up)
Description about How I Rate Manga
I rate manga similar to how I rate anime; however, I note, in addition to its overall quality rating, I also note if it has an anime adaption (at the time of reading the manga); if the manga is more, less, or equal in level of enjoyment; and if the manga has more, less, or equal about of story content. It should be noted that enjoyment does not equal quality; consequently, some manga may be rated higher or lower than an anime. Point is, an anime may be enjoyed an so may its manga but they may be different quality rating even if they were both the same level of enjoyment. (As a side-note, I move over manga to "on hold" because I finished all that has been published but the story is still slowly publishing more content for me to read in the future. This differs from the anime "on hold" section which is primary used for long-term holds that I plan on watching sometime before I die but that I'm in no rush to watch them.) If I ranted a bit here, please excuse me. It's super late at night--well, technically, super early in the morning.

I seen your post on MAL about Korean.
I am able to read Korean enough to be able to translate small pieces of text.
Every Friday--and day, in general--is a good one :P
Congrats on stealing the first comment. I was thinking about doing it myself but, then, I reminded myself that people would find that weird :(
