Thanks for writing back. The main reason we deny the request of MAL members who've just joined the site with no posts is to give them time to get familiar with the forums and the site and the rules. With your explanation I can hope that you know the site and the rules well enough.

With that said, I'd like to welcome you to the "Critics and Connoisseurs" club. Please feel free to take some time to familiarize yourself with the club rules posted on the club's main page and in the FAQ thread.
We'd like the members to stay active by reading/watching the spotlighted entries as much as their time allows them to and also by participating in the discussion threads and most importantly by voting in the weekly polls. I hope that you enjoy your time at the "Critics and Connoisseurs" club as an active member.
Should you have any questions regarding the club please feel free to contact one of the admins or refer to the FAQ thread.

I'll bring it up in the staff board, although for future reference I have very little to do with member participation.

At the Critic and Connoisseurs club, we encourage our members to participate in the spotlight discussions and polls and also to take time to familiarize themselves with the spotlighted entries as much as their time allows. As a result we expect our members to be relatively active with posting their thoughts and voting. Currently, I can not see any posts you might have made on MAL (also considering that you've just joined MAL). If you'd like to join the CnC club, we'd like you to be more active in the forums or on the comments section making meaningful conversations. If you get the time to be more active, we'd gladly add you to the club as a member upon your joining request then.
