Late reply, but if you're still curious, the gist of it is that I grew up as a person and accepted my own biases and others', left the 00s moe-bashing behind and learned to judge shows along with and past their otaku trappings (while developing something of an armour about such things lol). I still have not given a second chance to Haruhi and I doubt I will (I'm just not interested enough and my memories do not paint an interesting picture either), and I had initially given up on Monogatari as well, but someone recommended Second Season very earnestly to me and I ended watching the whole thing from Bake to Zoku. Nadeko specifically is the most relatable character I've found ever (wild, I know), and although I cringed and winced hard at the show's fanservice and at Araragi's sudden bursts of perversion, the girls were all a very interesting bunch and putting up with Araragi's more unpleasant moments was worth it in the end.
