I'm old, I know, but thanks to my grandkids, I've actually gotten interested in Manga and Anime. All but 2 are teenagers: the youngest is 12 and the oldest is 26. I try to find age appropriate anime for them for when they visit.
Why do I like anime? The most important part is the stories. They are well written as the ones I watch aren't dumbed down to the lowest common denominator. A lot of popular shows (Dragonballs, My Hero Academia, One Punch Man, One Piece, Etc) i haven't watched, although I did get through several episodes of the original Dragonball, and the first season of Pokemon.
Fan Service shows are usually good, bawdy entertainment, and, older shows are more willing to show topless females. Some go a bit overboard on the boob sizes (If you're over 18 and feel "small" compared to the honkin' hooters, I find A-C cups aesthetically pleasing. There are those men that don't want to get a broken neck being hit by a pair of Torso Torpedoes) I was married for nearly 39 years, have 3 adult offspring (no loose little Swigglets running around) Fan Service shows, while not in my top 10, I find amusing because they strike my bawdy sense of humor.
By the same token, I also enjoy shows I can sit and watch with my grandkids.
I Love Slice of Life shows. Most are Rom Coms, but faves are:
01: Hinamatsuri
02: ReLife
03: Kanata No Astra
04: Konosuba
05: That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime
06: Interspecies Reviewers
07: Rising Of The Shield Hero
08: Zombieland Saga
09: How Not To Summon A Demon Lord
10: Goblin Slayer
Other shows that are on my watch list are ones that I can enjoy with the grandkids: Non Non Biyori, Alice and Zouroku, Miss Vampire, Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid, Ms Vampire Who Lives In My Neighborhood and Nisekoi.
