I have been watching anime for several years, beginning with InuYasha in 2004 when it aired late on adult swim.
Since then, watching anime has evolved into an enjoyable pastime. I have seen several series that cut across a variety of genres. Over the years my preferences in the medium has widened, but I find the most enjoyable series are the ones with engaging, realistic, characters. Character development is essential for good shows in this medium.
Only rarely do I find myself awarding a show high praise. Most of the exceptional shows do something unique, possess really strong characters, a captivating plot, and have high re-watch value.
Currently, I am a graduate student at a state University. I enjoy exercising and reading.
My rating system is the following:
1 Terrible: A show earning this rating is deemed unwatchable. There is no artistic or entertainment value to the show. The plot is uninteresting, the characters are unlikable, the setting is awful, and the show should be avoided.
2 Very Bad: A show earning this rating is nearly unwatchable. The show possesses little to no entertainment value, but may have one or two redeemable qualities. The show should still be avoided.
3 Bad: A show earning this rating failed to entertain, but perhaps had a few qualities or moments that made it barely interesting or at least not overtly offensive. Still should be avoided.
4 Poor: A show earning this rating had some moments that were entertaining, but had substandard characters and plot. This show likely would hold enough interest to complete, but only barely.
5 Average: A show earning this rating is boring more often than not, only displaying glimmers of potential. This show did nothing to separate itself with generic characters, generic plot, and over used devices. It does possess some redeeming characteristics that may justify its completion.
6 Above Average: This show is entertaining at times and capable of keeping the audience engaged. It lacks some elements of a completely engaging story, either lacking an interesting premise, having poor plot execution, or weak characters. The show may be artistically decent, but it has no rewatch value. Worthy of completion.
7 Good: This show is entertaining. It has interesting or unique characters that develop throughout the series and a captivating plot. The show has good execution and reasonably good visuals and sound presentation. The story may have been reused from the past but the show itself is enjoyable. This show possess some rewatch value and may be worth owning.
8 Very Good: This show is not only entertaining but excels in some aspects of the medium. It is well-written, with strong characters that are more nuanced than your typical show. It has a highly engaging plot and manifests a strong desire to view resolution to the story. It has a few characteristics that hold it back from its full potential, but these are negligible. The show has high rewatch value and is worthy of ownership.
9 Excellent: This show excels in entertaining and goes beyond high standards in the medium. It has excellent story execution, captivating and complex characters, and is extremely well-written. The show is complex with strong identifiable themes throughout the show. The shows exhibits high levels of character development and a story establishes a standard for the genre. It has very high rewatch values and is a must own.
10 Masterpiece: This show transcends its genre and is deserving of the highest praise. It has excellent characters that develop throughout the show, an entrancing story with great plot execution, and strong themes that are highly relate-able to all types of audiences. This show should be rewatched and owned.

They might need to have more light novel volumes to make a second season. I'm not sure because I haven't read the light novels, as the parts that goes beyond what the anime covered are not translated in English yet. But yes, I would likely check out a sequel if there is one. ^.^
I can't believe it's only ep 8 and the show goes for ep 26. It seems like there's always something happening per ep (especially compared to Archives, lol). It can only have many twists as it cannot afford to just straightforward eliminate diary holders per ep or they'll run out of story mid-series, ha.
