I hear that. That's how Clannad was for me.
I've heard really good things about HxH and Nodame Cantabile! I'll let you know what I think once I watch em. :D
I'm looking for something captivating, mysterious, and relaxing. Something like Mushishi or Haibane Renmei would be the perfect thing. Or something moving, that makes you feel deeply and has characters and a story you become invested in.
What about you? What kind of anime are you wanting to watch right now?
Yo! It seems like you have good taste friend.
I've got some recommendations for you if you're interested.
I'm always open to recs too, so if you have any must watches lay 'em on me!
I see your a fan of Planetes. I've been seeing it floating around on people's faves lately. A cult classic it seems. Gotta check it out!
Well, at least you can look forward the last episodes, because they were pretty cool with a bit of S1 vibe. We can at least hope that if there is S3 it won't be done by DEEN :E
Heh understandable. For me, sometimes I'm just in the mood to sit back and watch something crappy or meh just for pure entertainment.
Nice! Idk what it is about Volcarona, but it quickly became one of my favorites. I guess just a combination of its design, concept (a fire bug), stats, and moves.
Looks like we have fairly similar taste! (Obviously, given our compatibility) It seems I'm just more generous with my ratings. My average score is lower, but I think that's just because I watch a lot more mindless garbage :P
I'd definitely recommend Penguindrum, Samurai Champloo, Kaichou wa Maid-sama!, Nagi no Asukara, and Kara no Kyoukai movies. Depends what kind of genre you're looking for. Idk if you'll like Penguindrum or Maid-sama but the others should be safe to try out.
I'm glad you liked the series! I agree, it was really funny a lot of times but some parts were a bit boring too. All of the characters are great though.
I'll probably pick it up after I finish Hyouka then, since I'll probably be done with it by the end of today (19 episodes in). Most of my currently watching list are anime I watch together with other people, and most of them are in-and-out of town for the next 2-3 weeks. :)
lol dont worry, i was just kidding. i'm just a regular high school guy. no self-respecting person would use japanese words into their conversations haha.
no problem! if you do finish Animation, i would love to hear your thoughts about it : )
how rude! can you not see from my picture that i am a very cute little girl? people on the internet can be so mean desu :C
yes you should definitely start on the Aria series! it's amazing for relaxation and to have all your stress drain away : ) watching the main character, Akari, see so much beauty in her ordinary mundane life at Neo-Venezia influenced the way i perceive my own surroundings. it taught me how to find enjoyability in the little things in our everyday life that often go ignored. i may sound naive, but that's honestly how i feel about Aria : ).
if you do get around to watching Aria, i recommend watching it at a one or two episode(s) a day pace. it's just a series that, in my opinion, is much more enjoyable at a steady, relaxed pace instead of binge watching it. also, even if you're not very impressed by the first season, please at least complete Animation and continue on to Natural for a couple episodes before completely dropping it. speaking from personal experience, once you start Natural, you develop a much greater affection for the characters and the setting : )
wow sorry, i didn't expect to type so much, and i could go on and on, but i've said more than enough by now haha.
Yeah, I definitely recommend reading Hakomari! It's a really interesting story and one of my favorites of all time. The series is 6 volumes so far so it might take a while to read but it'll be worth it for sure. I can't wait for the final volume to be out already but that's not going to happen for another couple of years. :/

How do you like S2 of Log Horizon so far? Slow pacing in kids arc and animation was killing me ._.
