Haha don't worry, I never took that in a wrong way, I know that thread is only a humorous game for the users to have some fun, so no hard feelings.

And whoa, I never expected to get a reply that long! I really appreciate you took part of your precious time only to write all that (and very well and elaborate by the way, props for that) and to try to convince a random MALer to keep watching. And to me that was definitely not "nothing", in fact it was a lot. So good news: you've convinced me to keep watching. After all, its definitely not a typical, generic work, so it's worth the try.

I didn't drop Bakemonogatari because I disliked it whatsoever, it was just that it was too bizarre, abstract and/or "conceptual" for my own taste, with all the symbolism, unique style, direction and stuff. I have no problem with these type of shows, but as long as there is a clear storyline that both generates and keeps the interest in the viewer, as were the cases for Madoka or NGE (which are in your favs too and I liked) for example. But Bake just couldn't do that for me, after 6 episodes I was still unable to tell what was this really about, what was it trying to do, or where was it trying to go....so the interest just faded. But since you've finished it and declared it "best anime ever made", I'm open to hear a convincing argument from you that will encourage me to give it another try ;)

And we have a 60% anime affinity, so based on that I wouldn't say my "sensibilities" are that different from yours ...XD.
