Happy New Year!

Because Satoshi Kon was a legend in anime and ahead of his time with Perfect Blue. I think that he tried to show how pretending to be someone that you're not is slowly going to damage you over time. He is straight forward about it and the setting is realistic. He is trying to show the same thing in Paprika, that not being true to yourself is going to hurt you over time, but he used too much crazy imagery to show it.

I think that Perfect Blue was his greatest work whereas Paprika was a bit disappointing in comparison. 7 for a masterpiece such as Perfect Blue seems a bit too low to me, but 4 for Paprika is just unreasonable. I could see Paprika being a 6 at lowest and Perfect Blue being an 8 at lowest. 7 also seems a bit low for Ghost in The Shell which is unarguably one of the best and most respected anime series ever made. Ga-Rei: Zero is known to be a hit or miss from person to person though.

Philosophical imagery in anime is what separates a masterpiece from garbage as long as it doesn't get too crazy in my opinion.

Surprisingly low scores for Darker than Black, Ergo Proxy, Ga-Rei: Zero, Ghost in the Shell, Jormungand, Berserk, Paprika and Perfect Blue. You don't like philosophical anime?

+1 for Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Monster and Steins;Gate though.

Yes, think AW is a good show, the first 12 episodes are great, not the biggest fan of the second arc due to Reki inability to write proper characters and the villain is simply generic, i wanted to see more six kings of pure color warfare which Reki set out to do. The issue here is that 20 volumes of light novels are out and the ending is not even in sight, in fact, if you watch AW:infinite burst you will see that they are are still there, basicly Reki writes for the sake of it not becouse it needs to be that long. Chances of getting a season 2 is small i am afraid.

Now regardless to Haru, not watching this show becouse of him is pretty much retarded argument, like you said, i can relate to him in a certain way despite that i am not fat. The morons who accuse him of being a "beta" what are they? morons who likes Kirito for the same reason. Let me tell you, i hate Kirito, a gary stu wishfufilment character to the bone and that is ok but its not ok for fat people to insert themselves. Belive me i had many heated arguments with people about it.

Now i do have issues with the series but none of them are related to how Haru looks, they have to do with more the way Reki writes, the entire concept of wasted second half to game rules such as Incarnate system that is based upon the willpower which means that writer can do whatever he wants without explaining himself. Also, i would have liked the show to focus more on Hime and Haru relationship becouse its unique. Instead Reki spends time with episode 18 and 19 introducing new characters that wont even matter and belive me, they dont since i read the novels. I could go on but my point here is, i think the show is a good watch, i like both Hime and Haru but without the second season i dont think this show cant stand on its own, it needs conclusion.

I hope i can talk to you some more, you seem pretty good and once more, i like that you are not super shallow as a lot of morons on MAL who only watches for self insertion, i watch it for what it is.

Hi there, i see you like Haru as your favorite, its nice that you dont judge characters based upon their look. That it what made that anime kind of special even if i think that Reki Kawahara cant write for shit.
