Hey there, I'm Stadtfeld. I love reading light novels and manga, watching boatloads of anime, and doing all sorts of other *fun* things. :3
My favorite anime and light novels tend to be slice of life and romance these days, though I'm always open to series with cool premises, no matter what genre they'd normally fall into.
For manga, I tend to enjoy incredibly smutty (but romantic, usually!) seinen for some reason. It's not that I don't like shoujo and jousei romance, but I usually favor women that take the front foot for relationship and x-rated stuff. Sundome I think is a great example of this, where the female lead completely dictates the pace of her relationship with the protagonist while still remaining seductive and alluring as all hell.
I've recently started playing more JRPG's than I have before, specifically the Souls games (Dark Souls and Demons Souls). I think the combat system is just about as close to perfection as you can get, and I love how the story and lore is told through the item descriptions and NPC dialogue, leaving the world with a huge sense of mystery and shadows.
Friends requests are welcome, but please include a short message introducing yourself. ^^

Have you been studying Japanese too and what do you love most about Ghost in the Shell?
Oh I see, well sometimes life just gets busy like that so it can't be helped I suppose. Yeah I have been watching anime over this past year so I do have some suggestions for you.
I'd say if you like Shonen then Give Jujutsu Kaisen and Demon Slayer a try. Those 2 anime are pretty huge right now and over the last 2 years they have been making big names for themselves. If you want a good Shonen manga to read that isn't very long then I would highly recommend Chainsaw man since it is about 97 chapters. So just read it whenever you have time to, one of my favourite manga, so I hope you like it.
If you want a pretty chilled out romance anime that doesn't rush or exaggerate anything you should try Horimiya. Or maybe a relaxing slice of life with comedy at times then you could go with Komi-San which got an anime recently.
Finally if you want a good fantasy anime then I highly recommend Mushoku Tensei, another anime that has become critically acclaimed over the past years and it is one of the best of it's kind.
I hope those anime will help you kind of get back into it or become in touch again. I didn't want to say too much because I know how busy life can get but if you ever have time I recommend you trying those out and seeing what you think :)
I have been doing good recently too, just catching up on a few anime and starting to read some manga here and there as well.
How are you doing lately?
Wow it's been so long actually, how have you been? Tbh I came back to MAL not too long ago haha, because the site had some issues last year(?) and while studying abroad I didn't have much interest in watching anime lolol
You're welcome! Did u end up playing it? :D I actually switched to Azur Lane last summer hehe (it's like kancolle but on phone)
Uhm paid stuff like extra slots (yes you have to pay for it unfortunately) and some other items.. I'm not too familiar with that part otl. It's pretty stupid with the slots because every event there are tons of new shipgirls, idk how I managed to keep my storage under 100 for more than 4 years LOL
It's okay >:) mine is like SUPER late omg, hope work hasn't been too stressy for you!
But it sucks that they're shutting down, job hunting is hard xd I wish you luck!
Right... I hope everything come back soon :x
What kind of job are you doing?
Yeah lol I wonder what happened for them to take so long...
*see last comment ive sent...2016...* Yeah its been a while xD
I'm good hehe and you? How have you been?
Sorry for the late reply xD The fact that MAL was down didnt help
Hmm I never really thought about that! It's a mix between the two, I think most of us started playing because they like the art and concept of the game. But like I said, it felt more enjoyable after I had a better clue of how the game works :)
Uhm it's actually pretty grindy, especially during events. Kancolle is RNG-based so the number of retreats > sucessful sortie.
It can be mind-draining sometimes to retreat over and over again, because Tanaka (the guy who 'made' the game) likes to make some things pretty crazy.
There's no energy bar in the game. Most things depend on how many resources you have, so before an event starts you have to make sure to restock your resources. The 'reward' is every new shipgirl/equipment you can get from an event hahah.
Yeah true, the art for some of the shipgirls changes depending on what season it is, or whether they are kai or kai-ni (final upgrade) ships. Not every ship has a kai-ni or a specific season's CG, and there are always new ships every event. So there will always be new art, which is pretty cool.
Also my finals start at the end of this month, so I'll be pretty busy ~_~ The next reply will be pretty late for sure,
hope you don't mind :)
And for the lines... I mostly don't look it up haha. If you've watched anime you can get the gist of what they're saying most of the time. But the voicelines are added in the wiki beneath every ship girl, so it is not that confusing. Oh I play it on the pc lol not on phone. For me it wasn't bothersome if I could not understand some things. But the girls mostly uses ship/combat-related words, which aren't known firsthand by most people but with time it will be as easy as recognizing 'konnichiwa' in Jap for ex.
