My favorite AMV: "The Flying Car" - Yami No Matsuei Spoilers
Will GONZO ever air this?: "The Five Killers"
Just Because This Is Epic. If you like Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody, you'll love this.
This is probably the most epic Sesame Street video. The Count Censored
11-16-2012 Not bad, only a month and a half later lol! Anyways, I've been neglecting nearly everything online since I FINALLY bought Assassin's Creed III... LIMITED EDITION. That's right! I splurged and bought the $130+ game that included, AC III, AC III for 2 player, AC American Flag, AC belt buckle, George Washington's journal, and MOST IMPORTANTLY the statuette of Connor with the Colonist Flag in the background. **SQUEE!!!** So, yeah, my focus on anime/manga has been cut down BUT, I am catching up. But when my PS Vita and Android tablet come in next week, it might be a different story (yeah, I bought me a couple of birthday gifts). =P
So, I just finished chapter 89 of 07-Ghost... Everything keeps getting weirder and weirder. As I said a while back, "Katsuragi" wasn't actually Katsuragi: "Katsuragi" or should I say Landkarte, has been hiding behind the scenes, patiently waiting to make his move... who also in turn seems to be the "shadow guy" that I've been going on about for a couple of years.
Let's back track just a tad bit... Right before 88 ended, we see Konatsu passing along some information to "Katsuragi" about the incident that had occurred at the ball (since neither of the two attended) [yeah if you don't know what I'm getting at, then you'll have to read around chapter 84]. Anyways, during that exchange of info, Katsuragi pointed something out in the mist of thought; something that only the attendees at the ball and an informed Konatsu would have known. Then this is were chapter 89 picks up: Konatsu notices his slight slip-up unfortunately, and therefore "Katsuragi" decides to eliminate him... because we all know how annoying it is to have witnesses carrying on about when you're about to do something that would be considered treasonous. Luckily, Konatsu is save by the blade of his lazy but lovable supervisor, Hyuuga. From there, Hyuuga and Landkarte engage in battle. The result? Well... Lets just say the unthinkable happens...
I finally got around to Gunslinger Girl, thus finishing the last chapter. It wasn't the ending I was expecting, but I guess it worked out at the end. Jean finally recovers from his extensive injuries and is still working closely with the authorities.
I guess I felt some closure with Hilshire's wishes being carried out; giving us a Triela look-a-like name Speranza. Speranza's story turned out to be cute, despite her background being rushed. Though one thing seems clear; she knows the circumstances of her existence, and what she, herself, represents.
I have yet to catch up to Kuroshitsuji, but I am determined to do so before the holidays. =) I know I'm missing a lot of Sebastian goodness. However, I'm still convinced Sebastian obtained his degree in education from an online course. =P
Now looking at anime: I just recently finished Jormungand... It was a pretty good watch, especially when there's nothing else TO watch. However, if you're looking for something with a deep plot ans complexed characters, I would suggest watching Gankutsuou: The Count of Monte Cristo =P. If you want action-filled anime with some wit here and there, then Jormungand would be a good choice.
Anyways, Koko Hetmatyar is an arms dealer and a loco one at that, as the song suggest. Basically the story is about her various exploits in her career... you know, since arms dealers have such interesting lives. However, she recently hires a child soldier, Jonathan Mar (aka Jonah), to be her bodyguard. Its strange that she needs another, considering the ten that she already has. But I guess ten "insurance plans" are better than one. Besides, who would suspect a child to take out anyone??? Okay okay, with the exception of the children in Gunslinger Girl.
I'm also watching the infamous "K". Yes, Star-Child finally let this one out of the closet, after six months of wondering what the hell the series is about. Unfortunately I haven't seen it lately, but I know I'll have to jump back on the bandwagon, since they're sailing right through this series. I have to admit, Star-Child went all out on this series: The amazing animation and the music, really draws me in. However, the most important part is the story... although, I haven't watched enough to see if there is a good plot behind all the beauty. I'll just have to make time and sit down and watch (you know, with my busy gaming schedule and all). =P
08-27-2012 Okay, so its been over a year since I last updated my status... A new job, car, and all that can cramp your internet time (LOL).
Anyways, I've watched a few new anime series here and there, but nothing that stands out significantly to write about. Well... maybe Mardock Scramble. Its not really a series, but a movie based on the graphic novel by Tow Ubukawa. Right now, I'm reading the novel and watching all three movies and its definitely worth checking out. However, if you plan on reading the book, be prepared for some graphic descriptions (not just the violence, but the character's feelings and emotions). I've already read book one (which follows the first movie "Mardock Scramble: First Compression"), and right now I'm in the beginning of the second (which follows the second movie "Second Combustion"). Definitely will be writing an analysis about it...
Other than that, I've been doing my usual readings: 07 Ghost, Kuroshitsuji, Psychic Detective Yakumo, and Gunslinger Girl. My short thoughts on the recent chapters:
07 Ghost is becoming more interesting by the chapter. WTF??? Princess Ouka is a CLONE? And not only that, she is the original QUEEN of the Barsburg Empire... Twisted but interesting. Also, the Barsburg Empire's king was being used by the one and only... SHADOW GUY!!! HA! I KNEW IT!!! My Ayanami/Verloren was set up by that thing! Well, I'll see what happens as the chapters progress. Oh, Teito and Michael are back together, and Kal is one of the Ghost sent to spy on my Aya-tan.
Kuroshitsuji is always good. Ciel has enrolled in an all boys prep school, in order to find the queen's nephew(?). Anyways, he and Sebastian are slowly working their way through the school, avoiding any mishaps and well Sebby's little secret. Oh yeah, apparently Sebastian has a teaching degree, seeing that he is one of the educators at the school, and the male student body seems to already know him... very well. Seriously, when the hell did he get a degree in education over the course of a few days? Must be those online degree programs I keep hearing about. SMH
Gunslinger Girl: OMG!!! Everyone dies, or so it seems. Henrietta and Jose are out of the picture, Hilshire and Triela are gone, while Jean is recovering in ICU (Rico is fine). From what I remember, the agency is reorganizing itself to stay in the picture, especially since they accomplished their goal. Which in turn, Petra is given a chance to be "herself", in other words, becoming Elizabeta again (Petra's name before the whole process of becoming a cyborg thing). Anyways, the whole transfer was successful and Elizabeta is once more dancing as she did before. Meanwhile, Hartmann aka Hilshire leaves his will behind for his I-guess-we-can-call-her-his-lover, Roberta Guellfi. In the will he states that he had Triela's eggs frozen in a hospital, and wishes for her bloodline to carry on. Will she carry on Hilshire's wish? Who knows...
Anyways I might or might not write more later... we'll see.
Oh, the boards are completely belly up. Dead. Nonexistent. [as] KILLED the boards outright. I saw the remake and it was horrid. Then the boards just vanished entirely.
Sad day. I had come back once to check out my story, Waffles.
Ohh ok! Yeah we were thinking about going that way because it's cheaper lol
lol oh yeah I bet. I know someone that is doing that. They were originally a science major. Best of luck :) How much longer do you have?
Me too. Crunchyroll is really good. Totally worth the money each month. We don't watch enough sitcoms and other shows to make Netflix worth it. We have Hulu and that is fine for now.
Oh there is a ton of good stuff this season you should check out!
I need a PS4 so bad! I saw a commercial saying you can get like 100 plus channels with this new app on PS4. Do you know anything about it?
Oh what is your degree in? It's hard as hell doing all of that :( I can't wait to finish up lol Oh I finished the second season of Durrura XD I happen to find it on a website and I was like OMG!!! I use Funi and Chunryroll for my anime. I heard Netflix has some good stuff too. It was pretty good but not as good as the first season for sure.
Right now I am watching Yowamushi Pedal. I highly recommend it!!
lol yeah I heard the novel is long but really, really good. I have had barely anytime to check out stuff as of late. Busy bee :p
You should def check that one out...I am hooked on it. I am so close to being done with it. Hopefully I can get some more reading in this week. Oh what is going on in Florida? O:
I have not seen Garden of Sinners before but have heard of it...I am pretty open when it comes to anime for the most part. And I hate when they end a good series so soon.
Cool :) So it's based on a novel and not a manga? Kinda like Spice and Wolf?
I am about half way done that manga and I love it. Very well written and keeps you interested the whole way through. I hated how they ended Deadman Wonderland..it was a pretty good show too. lol no kidding. The manga is pretty good so far...need to catch up on that but honestly it will be a while...reading way too much stuff atm.
