A lot of people hate on Armin for being a crybaby and "dead weight," but episodes like 17 show us that he's definitely the cleverest of the main group. I'm sure he'll play a big part in solving the mysteries behind the titans' origins and the apparent conspiracy.
I wrote a giant blog post full of my own AoT speculations, which you can read here, but don't read it until after you watch episode 17. Or don't read it at all, if you'd prefer to come up with your own ideas!
The newest episode (17) of Titan was a pretty good one. The Battle for Trost arc was dragged out for too long, but things are getting interesting again IMO, and the animation was a definite step back up. I actually watched the whole episode twice, and certain scenes more than once, because I was searching for clues to certain mysteries that've been developing.
Oh yeah, I like the look of things a lot, too. It's just that they've been unwise with their budgeting, and it's starting to show. They're cutting as many corners as possible, but still not finishing everything on time. I hope they can get back on top of things soon.
Haha, I see you're loving Attack on Titan. The pacing has slowed way down in recent episodes, and the animation quality has dropped off too, but I'm hoping it picks up again in the second cour.
Hahaha, not a bad idea. I don't really use the site that much anymore, 'cause I don't really watch that much anime anymore, but it can be pretty useful if you do. It's nice for keeping track of what episode you're on of various shows and stuff like that.
