My name's Kouns. I'm an anime man and I'd like to say I'm a pretty darn good one. I own a pretty substantial collection and I think that's what puts me above most of the competition. I don't just put my time into it, I also put my money into it and that seems to be something few people do anymore.

I'm a harsh grader and make sure to grade everything. I grade all things comparatively no matter it's circumstances and to me a five really is average, ones really are the things I regret spending time on, and tens are things that I don't think my life would be the same without. I try to intertwine my watches between randoms and highly acclaimed things. I like it that way. I feel like it introduces me to a wider spread and makes me seem a bit more cultured than someone who's just running down the top one-hundred.

I have a great deal of hate for fanservice (with few exceptions) and excessive ecchi. That stuffs not my bag. It's not that I don't like that sort of thing but I don't like it all mixed together like that. If I want a erection I can do that on my not anime time. On the opposite side of things I love shows that focus on character above all else. In my opinion, the characters that fill a show are the most important element. Plot may be key but a terrible and one track plot with delightful characters can still be a great show.

As far as Genres go, I really try to mix it up a lot but I do prefer action and I have a soft spot for the Military tag. I keep my character list ordered top (highest) to bottom (lowest) and I never do more than one character from the same series. I love characters that struggle and I love characters that surprise me with their depth.

Aside from anime I also read comics (I'm starting to get into manga), play table top and written roleplay, I write, I'm a touhou fanatic, and I fight two demons. Aside from that, I don't do much video gaming anymore but I guess that pops up from time to time. In general that's pretty much my freetime.
