I have been watching anime since I joined MAL back in May of '08. Back then, I had joined a Sonic the Hedgehog related forum. The administrator there told me about some "anime" thing called The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, and said I should watch it. I did. And soon after, I had to watch more of this "anime" stuff.
