Hey Sol, how have you been, man? Really sorry about not replying to your last message. I completely fell behind on MAL comments and just haven't got the time or the motivation to reply. Anyway, I'm hoping to keep things shorter this time!

Yeah. Weather wasn't too bad last winter, all things considered. This year's winter has been on the cold side, though, with a lot of snow already in the past month.

Haha, I miss playing as Falco/Fox in Melee. They were ridiculously fast characters and had killer combos if the player is skilled enough. I used to be able to do pretty advanced stuff as Spacies. Nowadays, I'm super rusty and haven't touched Melee since 2015. Got to play Smash Ultimate at a friend's place recently, and while I do enjoy it a lot more than Brawl, I still dislike some of the game mechanics compared to Melee. Like, how characters can reverse grab the ledge, or the fact that they can air dodge multiple times. Then again, maybe I'm just old school, lol.

Nice! I really like Arcueid's smile. She's an angel and easily my favorite Type Moon heroine. I still haven't gotten around to reading Tsukihime or 999, but that's because I was preoccupied with other great VN's like Umineko, SubaHibi, and HoshiOri. I'd recommend giving those ones a read if you're still fond of the VN medium. And yeah, definitely a good idea to make a VNDB account if you have plans to read more than just a few VN's. :)

Yeah, it's definitely a lot more personal. Kyoto being the last arc wouldn't make narrative or thematic sense. Jinchuu is the perfect conclusion to the series, what it has all been building up to from the start. I currently have 33 chapters left, and I still think it's excellent. It slowed down a bit after the fake Kaoru death, but it's still pretty great with the focus shifting to other characters as Kenshin is completely broken down still.

What Watsuki did is inexcusable, but Rurouni Kenshin is still a masterpiece imo. That will never change for me. There's a reason it's been my 3rd favorite anime since I finished it back in 2013. I absolutely love the series to death. And the manga looks like it will replace One Piece as my favorite manga.

Man, it really has been a while huh? Our last conversation was like 3 years ago.

I'm doing well, been watching some anime, reading manga, watching movies, playing some video games as usual. Trying to finally finish the Kenshin manga, dunno how much of a void in my heart that will leave. The Jinchuu arc has been amazing so far. It tells a more personal story compared to the Kyoto arc and I've been really loving Yahiko's character arc. I'll still say I prefer Kyoto, as I think Shishio is a much better villain than Enishi and the Juppon Gatana are far more memorable than the Six Comrades. But it has been a thoroughly engaging read so far and I can't wait to finish it.
