How I Rate Anime:

I enjoy most anime I watch (most anime will have some non-negligible merit in a scene, character, style, presentation, theme, etc.) so my threshold for a "neutral impression" (i.e. no thoughts) show is at a high 3/10. This gives me more room for expressing the degree of which I like the shows that give me a positive impression, which would map to the ones I give a 4-10.

The score I give is pretty much entirely dependent on the impression/personal impact it left on me. This is highly correlated (but not completely equivalent) to how much I enjoyed the show.

10: i died watching this anime
9: this anime was powerful enough to ingrain itself into my mind and shape my thoughts
8: one of my favorites; i have an extremely strong connection to this anime
7: this is why i love anime
6: left an extremely positive impression (was pretty impactful)
5: left a very positive impression
4: left a (slightly/moderately) positive impression
3: left either a (very close to) neutral or bad impression (but had some enjoyable aspects)
2: left a very bad impression and was a painful watching experience
1: i died watching this anime

Some ratings may be inaccurate to how I would actually rate them now due to a difference in taste/rating considerations when I first watched them, and I would have to re-watch those shows to re-assess their ratings. However, almost all of them should be accurate.
