I'm baaack.

In recognition of my altered tastes in anime, I have altered some of my ratings accordingly. Mostly downgrades to 5,6,7. Many shows don't deserve an 8 or a 9 in retrospect. 7 is the new baseline 'good'.

Well, I am not the one advertising myself like a whore on Steam.

Reading as well! You mentioned Fahrenheit 451, right? I think I'll go download the e-book because I can't be bothered to borrow it from the library.. xD

Have you played the Japanese version? How is the Japanese, do they use a lot of difficult kanji?

Do you know 999 or Phoenix Wright? I'm waiting for the sequel of 999 and I'm not sure if they're going to translate the new PW games, but you could play them because you understand Japanese anyway. :D

Oh no, I'm studying it by myself. I should have been clearer, sorry! I believe some high schools do offer Chinese courses? I started trying to learn the language a half year ago, but then I stopped for a while and now I'm trying to refresh my memory and all.

I'm really neutral about my country. I'm not ashamed of my country but I'm certainly not proud of my country either. It's not beautiful and the language is nowhere near as beautiful or interesting as English. I think I'll move to another country in the future. Do you have any plans?

That's impressive! I've never been good at history or politics so I dropped those two and went for science instead. I'm studying Japanese as well.

I haven't read Fahrenheit yet, but I've heard a lot about it. It is often said that it is the best dystopian novel ever! Do you agree?

Psycho-pass felt like George Orwell's 1984 and the movie Minority Report to me. I believe it was actually based on those works. The Sybil system is very similar to the thought police in 1984. People who are likely to commit crimes are shot with a gun called Dominator, which either paralyzes or kills them (much like punishing people for thought crimes in 1984). The anime made me wonder what justice was, and that was actually its goal. I gave it a 10, but it certainly doesn't come without minor flaws. There are things I would have changed if I were the director of the anime, but nevertheless, it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience!

It had some action and gore in it. Though it wasn't very gory to me, there were many people who thought otherwise. There were also some heartbreaking scenes.

Thank you! I loved Ergo Proxy and the Higurashi series as well and I definitely would have listed them if it were allowed.
