Hey! I'm a franco-german anime lover, currently enjoying a very pleasant stay in Berkeley, CA. I started like so many other by watching Ghost in the Shell and Akira, around 1998. I knew anime already from before, having seen DBZ, Saint Seiya, Ranma 1/2 and many more on french TV when I was 10 or so. But this is when i realized that anime could be really interesting, a friend lend me Neon Genesis Evangelion and Record of Lodoss War and I am slightly addicted since then ^^;

I tend to prefer serious sci-fi and historical anime, but MAL actually introduced me to the more romance heavy stuff, and it's been surprisingly entertaining to me (ef comes to my mind especially).
