Dragon Ball....now THIS is what I call nostalgia.
Dragon Ball was the first manga I ever read and finished so of course I'm giving it a 10 all the way through.
A long time ago in a little settlement in Sweden far, far away...
There was a kid who is known here as "Skitungen2", when he was 9 years old he got the first three volumes of Dragon Ball for birthday from his brother, he had no idea what manga was and he thought that it was wierd that you read right-to-left and didn't get why, he was a somewhat confused kid.
He also thought that it was awesome
...
that they showed boobs in a book aimed towards boys under 18, and pretty weird that they showed a guys wee-wee in the first chapter, in a book aimed towards boys under 18.
And then 3 years later when he had all the volumes of Dragon Ball he thought for himself: "Äntligen så har jag alla volymerna av Dragon Ball" Translation: "Finally, I have all the volumes of Dragon Ball."
That confused little kid is me.
THE END by Skitungen2
Now the review,
[REMINDER] I will use the names of the characters that I learned from the swedish translation.
MEDIUM/MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD, READ AT YOUR OWN RISK
Dragon Ball starts off pretty simple: One guy and one girl is searching for the so-called "Dragon Balls", which can grant any wish, no matter what it is.
The guy who is also known as "Son-Goku" has one of those Dragon Balls, his Dragon Ball is a memento from his gramps, and the girl who is also known as "Bulma" wants Goku's Dragon Ball, and then the adventure begins.
I'm too lazy to write more.
The artwork in Dragon Ball has aged well, it looks really good to this day.
Then again it's Akira Toriyama, the man who did something different with the art, almost every manga reminded a little of Astro Boy (just like Chenoan said).
The characters in Dragon Ball is what makes it one of a kind, for example Kuririn, the bald monk who doesn't have a nose, but thinks that he has a nose, chapter 36 for example.
Kame-Sennin, the perv who is old as sh*t but still thinks that he can get it on with the younger girls in the series.
Vegeta, the evil saiyan who has come to exterminate the whole planet Earth but turns into a good guy later in the series.
I enjoyed Dragon Ball like I enjoy a plate with 12 pieces of sushi, and that's saying very much.
I've re-read the series countless times and still think that it's the best manga out there, if you haven't read it, give it a chance, and if you have read it you should just read it again.
Overall Dragon Ball is part of my childhood, and is IMO still the best manga out there, it may have had it's ups and downs, but considering how young I was when I read this manga it's not something that I have noticed.
See you all later, maybe...
Puss o kram, alla Barnbarn. Tack för mig!

Aaahh, Highschool of the Dead, a great but underrated anime.
Where should I begin?
Story: Not going to write much about it, you already have a synopsis.
A group of highschoolers trying to survive a zombie apocalypse
Bottom-line: I'm lazy
Art: It's Shouji Satou, need I say anything more?
Yeah, I have to. The animation's great and the females are very attractive, that's all I have to say about that.
Bottom-line: Outstanding art/animation
...
Sound: Great voice acting, both japanese and english dub, don't really understand why so many people hate the english dub, then again, english dub on anime have never been so popular.
The intro song just blew my mind, it was the best intro song I'd heard since, well, never.
Bottom-line: Great sound
Characters: Hmm, the characters in Highschool of the Dead are really interesting.
Takashi, a silly confused little kid.
Kouta, a fat otaku, also a gun-expert, not like those confused kids who think they know everything about guns just because they play Call of Duty.
Rei, some annoying confused girl who will be a lesbian when the shows over, IMO.
Saeko, very skilled with a bokken, a psycho (just listen to her name), also very popular in the character polls.
Saya, a genius, also a b*tch.
Shizuka, a nurse with some impressive jugs, also very ditzy.
Alice: a kid who doesn't play such a big part in the crew
Didn't pay much attention to the character-development, I will have to see it again and see if there is any.
Bottom-line: Very good
Enjoyment:......
Bottom line: Enjoyed the sh*t out of it.
Overall: Now, Highschool of the Dead isn't an outstanding anime, but it's by no means a worthless one either.
I don't know what all those haters think is so bad about it, it's a great anime.
Puss o kram, alla Barnbarns! As Morfar says.

Let's see here... Death Note is a really f*cking great anime, the only bad thing I can come up with is one character, and one character only: Misa Amane, god she was annoying, other than that it's flawless, IMO.
Now, enough about pointless stuff.
Story: You already got a synopsis of the story so I won't go too deep in it.
Light Yagami, a 17-year old genius who finds a notebook with the words "Death" and "Note" on it.
With this book he wants to cleanse the world from criminals and become the god of the "new world".
Art: I really loved the art style, the animation and the character
...
designs, there's not one bad thing that I can come up with about the art.
Sound: Holy f*cking sh*t I loved the openings of Death Note,
"Season 1": Standard anime theme. I thought it was the better one if I'm going to be honest with you.
"Season 2": DEATH METAL! Don't get me wrong, I love Death metal and this song. To be honest, I didn't exepct Death metal on a Death Note intro, it didn't quite fit as an intro for Death Note.
The voice acting was outstandiong (even in the english dub).
Character: And now the characters, we have Light, L, Misa, Ryuk and some police officers (not trying to spoil too much), I liked the idea with Light trying to bring justice to the world and become the new god, L, a professional detective (mush like Cole Phelps in L.A Noire), really likes sugary things and hate socks. L is my favourite character in Death Note, I don't know what it was that made me like him so much (no gay), Misa Amane *sigh* she was really annoying as I mentioned in the beginning of my review, I can best describe her as "an annoying goth girl" (assuming she's gothic, just look at her room).
And last but not least: Ryuk, a shinigami who is really addicted to apples (much like me and energy drink) and doesn't really do much to help Light with the Death Note thing, like, not giving him important information.
Enjoyment: I enjoyed Death Note really much, I would say that it's the best anime ever if it wasn't for Azumanga Daioh, the reason it took so long for me to finnish is was that my computer crashed in the middle of it and I tend to forget some important things, but it worked out in the end.
Overall: Death Note, a really geat anime, can't really remember why I think it's so f*cking great, but go see it if you haven't, and if you have...well go see it again cause it's really good.
Bottom line: Watchable, re-watchable, but not too much, it get's boring that way.
Please give me some advice on how I can improve my review-writing :)

This is my first review ever, so I would appreciate some if possible.
The first thing I wanted to point out (that mostly everyone did already) is that the creators really likes boobs, panties and buttocks that it's ridicolous, even in Highschool of the Dead it wasn't this ridicolous IMO.
The girls flashed their panties when they were kicking someone so many times that I lost count (or maybe I just suck at keeping count)
Now, enough of me babbling about pointless stuff and on with the review
Story - 4, Oooohhh, that gotta hurt. The story is basically based on/ripped straight from the Chinese novel "Romance of
...
the Three Kingdoms" (which I haven't read), I can't say anything else about it.
Every "fighter" has like this wierd earring crap containing the "soul" of some ancient figher, the earrings actually doesn't serve any purpose for anyone, the only thing the earring does is "forcing" the fighters to fight each other like a f*cking "gang from da hood". It's stupid.
Art - 7, Yeah :D. Ikkitousen has good artwork, no doubt, but it's not perfect, like the backgrounds for example, there's isn't much more I can complain about when it comes to the art, maybe it was the eye candy here and there that made me not to complain too much.
Sound - 6, Good. I really liked the intro (and no, it wasn't the embarrassing shots of Hakufu that made me like the intro), I would also say that the sound is pretty decent for an anime this old but god, the VAs didn't impress me one bit (the english dub, CURSE ME!), the sound part would get a 7 if the VA wasn't so bad.
Character - 4, Meh. We got a feminine-looking guy, a blonde bimbo, some half-emo chick who appeared to (at least to me) being saddistic, but apparently not.
Then we got minor characters who's stupid, like the rest of the cast.
Enjoyment - 5, Ok. I would be lying if I said that I didn't enjoy Ikkitousen, but what made me keep watching it was not the girls getting their clothes got ripped apart, not the panty shots either, it was for one, and one thing only: So I can understand WTF is happening in the later Ikkitousen series.
Overall - 6, Bottom line: Watchable, but not re-watchable.
It isn't a good anime, I'm sorry fanboys, the only thing I can say about it is that it's decent, nothing more.
Feel free to give me some advice on how I can improve my review-writing. :)
