>"Doom Guy (goblin Slayer) has no lines..."
Obviously not true.
I was reffering to the ACTUAL Doom Guy, who the character Goblin Slayer tries to be a medieval rpg clone.
>The second episode has very little of either against the humans, except to establish GS's backstory, and it's off-screened.
While I agree with you, its kind of weird to put an exposition episode so early on, where the viewer barely had time to settle down into the world.
>It honestly seems like you're just sensitive about the show having rape and brutal violence at all and can't enjoy it because of that. It's the same as people who couldn't have a great laugh while watching Keijo!!!!!!! because they were butthurt about all the butts.
The difference is Keijo! did use the butts for comedic ends, being self aware enough to the absurd concept of "fighting with asses". Its not as much being sensitive towards the use of rape and brutality as much as it is that presenting it in the first episode is like shouting "I have no redeeming qualities except shock value".
>Feel free to like or dislike whatever anime you want, but it seems like you're coming into it with a lot of prejudice because of one aspect, so you're denigrating every aspect of the anime without being honest.
I agree that everyone can like or dislike whatever they want, but the main reason I'm so harsh onto Goblin Slayer, is that an anime that opens with such a drastic first episode is going to have to be really well made in order to be more than just, and i hate to say these words, "pandering to edgelords".
It is what I've seen, and what I've thought, too bad you like to live in your echo chamber where no one would dare say anything bad about what you like.
Was gonna come to talk about the Gamers review considering you didn't give too much of a good explanation but then I saw Made in Abyss w/ a 6. Your mean score is 8 so I mean It kinda shocks me MiA got a 6, which is without a doubt the best show of summer.
