Guess who decided to open mal again lol XD, I just were just gonna grab a pic and leave and then got distracted by changing my favourite lists and seeing what old friends been up to these days.

didn't know you liked zach bell that much, been reading it lately, I should add it to my favs too
TheBigGuy Jan 31, 3:16 PM
Okay.

Yes I'm doing good I hope you too! To start the year I was quite inactive here, I went on a trip to Morroco to enjoy the sun because the weather is quite depressing to start the year here.

I guess you totally recovered now, but yeah that's how the winter season is I would say xD

Yes the commentaries bonus in the DVDs/Bluray are actually so cool, and you almost never find them online since the rippers probably don't care about it, but the explanations are often awesome to listen to when you already watched the movie several times.

It depends on which activities the girls do tbh, or maybe just make them travel somewhere more exotic, like imagine a K-ON movie in Brazil for example ahah

You must be happy that they directly announced a 2nd season for Puniru :)

It feels bad for Miura knowing that his work never got properly adapted, I don't know if he cared though. Also I heard that Fortiche studio (the one that did Arcane) would like to adapt Vagabon, imagine if it happens...

And not to mention the author I mean I would feel so bad seeing that my original praised manga turned this way in anime format :(
I haven't seen that Rakugo anime but I believe it's the kind of show that doesn't need a good animation but just a good director? Oh Chuubyou Gekihatsu Boy from the 2019 airing lol it wasn't too bad indeed, also I realized that Deen made the original Ranma 1/2 anime in 80s and now it's MAPPA, it would have been so good if Deen could make the remake as well and put some good animation :( They also made some underrated shounen from the 00s that I liked like this one for example https://myanimelist.net/anime/479/Ueki_no_Housoku I even want to rewatch it at some point

Yeah, and Blue Lock S2's last episode was too good to be honest, they stepped up a bit and made the adaptation more than decent for the ending.

You could try watching it to revive some memories but the adaptation is nothing worth it when you know the original games since the pacing is all over the place sadly.

And most of the new shows this season look SO BAD, most of them are low budget fantasy/isekai :'(

Okay.

I was caught pants down with IRL issues so much that I had to gloss Puniru Slime and Ranma 1/2 remake. Not to worry I'll get to them before their Season 2s come around!

Getting older every year, I don't exactly have the tendency to tackle 50+ shows every season lols, though I'll try to complete ASAP.
TheBigGuy Jan 21, 3:05 PM
Cool. Habe gerade Enotria: The Last Song beendet und Slitterhead angefangen.

Okay. Das freut mich. Ich kenne es dem Namen nach. Es ist auf jeden Fall sehr bunt. :)

Yea long time no see. I’ve been getting back into visual novels a bit late last year and it’s been more of a nonstop grind for the most part, to where my investment into seasonal anime has tampered off quite a bit.
KANLen09 Jan 19, 7:13 AM
Heyo friend, feels like a reunion is in session for both of us lols...

Nope, anime is getting harder to invest into the years in the future, not to mention how much people here have gotten worse personalities overtime...
I even had to cut shows just to maintain sanity...
TheBigGuy Jan 17, 2:40 PM
Gut zu wissen. Okay. Was spielst/guckst du gerade?

Cool. Geht mir genauso. Ja, ich habe es mitgekriegt.
TheBigGuy Jan 15, 3:19 PM
Besser spät als nie. :) Gern geschehen.

TheBigGuy Dec 24, 2024 12:33 PM
Frohe Weihnachten!

Oh no problem I hope you fully recovered now!!

Sadly that's the truth... monthly subscriptions are just too big and they generate way more money than a single time buy, when you think about it 10 years ago it was rare but now monthly subscriptions have just become the norm and they're invasive, you sometimes even forget which ones you subscribed to.

Noit even American ones but companies in general are often really bad and greedy sadly.

I think another movie would work, the one they made where they go to London was perfect, why not making them visit Paris or Berlin or whatever capital like that.

They especially don't like "slice of life" format where you have many little stories in a single episode I think. Anyway I think I'll even read the Puniru's manga after the anime just because it's fun, even though you said that the anime made it even better.

I think the fans also got traumatized by CGI when the 2016 Berserk adaptation came out, CGI would probably have a better reputation without it lol.

That's also why I love older Deen's adaptations because you don't see the lack of budget since most anime from 15 years ago look bad anyway xD I just don't understand why they perceived and didn't stop producing the Uzumaki adaptation even though it took more than a year per episode which already sounds insane but on the top of that the quality was terrible, like how it is possible.

At least I still enjoy Blue Lock's story to be honest, no matter how the animation is.

Yes, sometimes I forgot that CloverWorks also did the S2 of Ace Attorney and that it was surprisingly better than what A-1 did with the first season lol.

Sadly there are so many series that have literally no licence and there's no way to legally watch them online, and then they wonder why people pirate things lol.

That's just horrible for both the VA and fans eh, I don't even know the point of not giving them to the VA unless they're just extremely lazy but don't they have at least a little bit of empathy when they think about the time fans took to send all of these... it's heartbreaking to be honest.

It's also a little sad because I read the K-On sequel content that wasn't adapted and it's just so short and empty, no wonder they couldn't even do anything with it, no insult to Kakifly (K-ON's mangaka) but it would sure be a forgotten series without the anime...

And I also especially love Puniru's ending visuals xD
I see for Puniru, and they said like that it makes me even more think about Urusei Yatsura especially the relationship between the two characters, I guess it must feel even more similar with the flashy colors, I'm gonna start it soon.

And you would say the original jokes are as funny as in the manga? Sounds like a passion project tbh, I wonder why it still has quite a low score :/

Yeah xD Orange has the best CGI and it even improved when you compare Houseki no Kuni to Beastars' one for example, even J.C Staff made some great full CGI anime in my opinion like it was for High Score Girl or Shinigami Bocchan, for some reason I really like full CGI anime, I don't even know why, and even when it looks poor it can be really good that's why I still loved Kemono Friends (even S2 xD). But yeah, and Tesla Note as well looked really bad.

Junji Ito is cursed and can't have a good adaptation, but it's a shame than even the adaptation made by Deen (Itou Junji: Collection and Itou Junji: Maniac) were better than how Uzumaki turned out to be :(

People believed that they were saving the budget for when the U20 match would start in Blue Lock but now that we've seen the 1st episode of the match... nothing has changed, so no hope for it to become better sadly

Yup... Promised Neverland S2 was a special case, I don't think you can make a worse sequel than that, at least it hasn't happened yet I would say, tbh I'm glad I didn't read the manga because I would be even more frustrated, and to think that after that CloverWorks kinda wasted their high potential anime original Wonder Egg Priority with the last episodes, at least after all of that they became so much better and made incredible adaptations.

I feel like it's just some phases where I get excited over something and then it just becomes a routine even when I still enjoy it but a routine can become like a chore over the years... I think it's starting to do the same for me regarding movies, I wonder if doing a longer pause would work though.

Eh, I heard about these Crunchyroll issues before, it was kinda the same on PC as well if I remember correctly and for some reason in 2018-2019 when I used it a bit it worked much better, is ADN available in Germany I don't remember? Because ADN is much better I would say, but of course Crunchyroll has most of the licences.

I'm not aware of the mail scandal what happened??

This is exactly the case for K-ON, I read the manga when I came back this summer and it was so average, it's rare that an adaptation is sooooo much better than the original manga.

Actually someone sent me Puniru's opening before and looking at it I thought I should eventually watch it as my "guilty pleasure" show of the season regarding how it's quite unknown and not really high rated but I'm just a sucker for this kind of very flashy and bright colors in an anime (kinda similar to how it was in the Urusei Yatstura remake). With you saying that regarding this show I'll definitely watch it then, it's a simple comedy one right?

Yup... sadly in Europe it's less and less popular even though here the retro gaming shop next door bought the locals from the manga shop next to it that closed, it's a rare case where older games won over mangas lol, anyway it's frustrating to see how big it can be in Japan when you're a fan and don't really have access to that in Europe :/ it's not uncommon to see a full building with several stories dedicated to games and all.
Lol so now I looked and seems like there's also a french version for the Gregory Horror Show game, but at some point they would translate so many random games it's surprising, for example I own a version of Petz Catz 2 on DS in German xD

From what I remember Mars of Destruction had the worst CGI you could ever imagine

I wouldn't even mind a 2nd season for Nobunaga sensei I would definitely watch it just to see how ridiculous it can get xD But now I'm curious regarding the manga, don't know if you'll decide to read it a bit out of curiosity but if you don't do it I will sacrifice myself and check it eventually lol.

Uzumaki adaptation's case is SO frustrating, I was waiting since 2019 to see the adaptation and I was so hyped.. the 1st episode was actually incredible and it gave so much hopes just for it to end up like that... I don't think I've ever been that much disappointed by an adaptation before... maybe if I was reading The Promised Neverland and that I was a fan it would have been the case though, also Blue Lock is suffering right now :S
