I usually rate an anime:
5 or lower if the anime was extremely average. It had too many annoying flaws like bad characters, bad plot, bad episodes, etc.
6 I enjoyed it, but I wouldn't really consider re-watching it.
7 if I enjoyed it and would consider re-watching it.
8 if I enjoyed it and it triggered an emotion in me, but overall the anime had some flaws like too many episodes or fillers, a really annoying character, or a bad ending.
9 if I enjoyed it and have re-watched or would consider rewatching it. It triggered an emotion in me.
10 if the anime stood out among the others. Some flaws can be overlooked because the anime overall had an amazing plot, was addicting and triggered great emotions within me.
