You've seen it :) It's from Kotonoha no Niwa. When I watched it, the quote really stood out to me so I wanted to use it. You're not the only who've seen the movie and asked about where it came from though ^^

Her prototype is ugly. I don't know if you know this, but in the enhanced version of Xenosaga (Reloaded). Her prototype costume can be attained. The version that killed Kevin.

Her fourth version is the best since that helmet kinda sticks out like ears. :3

I haven't been checking to see if there was a re-release. I think when I finally get a good amount of money, I'll just buy it for the heck of it. That's the only KOS-MOS figure I want left.

I played Xenosaga 3 for a weeks. The game, to me, has aged well. :) Oh yeah, Xenosaga 2 is like ten years old now. Man, time flies. I remember buying that game $50 new at Electronic Boutique, back before they merged with Gamestop.

I didn't use any colors straight out of the tube so I can't remember, sorry :(

Boil some water. Pour it into a separate heat-safe container, like another pot. Dip the figure in it for 10 seconds or so until the plastic starts to soften a little. Wiggle. Glue will pop.

Oh man, like all garage-kit/repaint projects it is fun right up until you hit something that refuses to look right, and then it is terrible D:
I used regular cheap-y craft acrylics: if you're not experienced at mixing paints or avoiding brushstrokes, I would suggest Games Workshop acrylics for their ease of use.
The hardest part, and the thing that made the most difference in getting it to look like anime!Nessa, was the eyes. I would have used printed decals but I managed to lose the vector file I made for them >_>;
You can use boiling water + wiggling to remove some parts, like her hair fringe, the flowers (OH GOD DON'T LOSE THE FLOWERS), her twintails, and the obi bow. The robe doesn't come apart, don't try: just keep a piece of magic eraser handy to wipe any extra paint off the white layer.
Apparently the correct color to use for shading red hair is navy blue, not brown orz I shaded her hair with pastels.

Don't change it. If you're a real KOS-MOS fan, you have to keep it. xD At least keep most of the pictures that make it a KOS-MOS theme.

At least you can play her in Super Robot Wars for the DS. :/ She's also in the Exceed game, but it's in Japanese only.

Are you using a phone or something? The swimsuit one is pretty big. It's my biggest figure too.
