Same, I never read manga, as of now I’ve only tried some manhwa. I only planned to read MHA because I heard anime adaptations aren’t always 100% accurate and tend to leave out details. I wanted to experience MHA in its purest form and catch all the hidden scenes! Overall, the anime did an amazing job adapting it—literally everything from the manga made it into the show. I was also in a rewatching mood but definitely wasn’t about to sit through 100+ episodes again π. Manga is way more time-efficient.
And yeah, Blue Lock is insane—it definitely inspires people to get into football. The way the anime portrayed the sport was just so good, like, I can’t even explain it properly. Only watchers would truly get it.
Do you have any specific recommendations of those anime's that grew on you and changed your mindset alltogether ? Like I said, I wanna stumble upon my new Bluelock experience!
As for reading MHA anytime soon… well, funny story—I actually bought the volumes using my brother’s money π. We even went to the store together and searched for them. But let’s just say… it’s been MONTHS since then, and they’ve been sitting on my shelf collecting dust aswell. Does my brother like that? ABSOLUTELY NOT. Every now and then, he gives me a mini lecture about how wasteful I am. So, even if I don’t feel like reading it, he’s definitely going to make sure I do. π
By the way, all my all-time favourite anime are the ones listed in my favourites section.
Anywho, It’s quite nice to meet someone who appreciates such a masterpiece as much as I do, especially with all the unnecessary hate it receives.
I also need to catch up with Season 6 and 7—TT. I actually started reading the manga last summer, partly for nostalgia and partly because I was so hyped for the final chapter in August! I had this grand plan to binge it all in one go, I even went out and bought some volumes in real life to increase my motivation…but then… things became too bittersweet…I just couldn’t bring myself to finish it. The feeling of not knowing what comes next was too good to let go π.
Ohh, that’s such an interesting take, and I totally agree! Any story has the potential to be great—it all comes down to how it’s executed rather than the theme itself. Like, take Blue Lock, for example—I was never into the sports side of things at first, yet it completely pulled me in and didn’t fail to keep me hooked the entire time π«. Now I don’t judge a show solely by its theme anymore. Instead, I keep an open mind, hoping to stumble upon my next Blue Lock experience!
Mine was my hero academia. I think it was a really good starter for 10 yr old me. It included a lil bit of everything, but primarily focused on adventure and action with also a little bit of slice of life and romance included in there, I also love power of friendship tropes! Those are my favourites genres, and yours?
You’ve got quite a cool and big list! How long have you been watching anime for?
I'm doing good. You?
garnt is really the only one out of the three who still watches anime, so if i had to pick with anime in mind, i would lean closer to garnt.
joey was my original favourite, since he was the one i came across first.
i love their dynamic so much, which is probably why they're one of the only youtuber podcasts that made it this far.
