You say "Pretty sure" doesn't that mean you have doubt on the show??
Trust me this anime is better to watch it as a whole and not on weekly based
Ok, the op. Yes they did spoil the final performances. But you can't as an excuses as 70-80% of opening does spoil the final episode.
All of them change emotionally and physically. I mean take Saku, he change emotionally and physically. He hate himself as he is a small fellow and he though being small is useless but thanks to cheerleading being small is an advantage as he can become a flyer just like Haru and Kazu. Which only small people can do it.
IDK what you are watching but if you have the time to re-watch this anime as it got a 10/10 for me. AND I HATE A SHOW A 10/10.
At first it was 7/10 but after one re-watch I decided an overall score of a 10/10. As maybe you miss something as there are a lot of characters stories.
1. We are asian, We have pride and we must protect.
2. It make sense. Think about it, if your parents want you to be a chef (IDK why a chef just roll with it) but you say you want to be a singer. Naturally they would reject it and beg to the family business.
Like I say performances after performances is not how a sport anime should have been done. The characters must change both emotionally and physically with whatever sport they are doing. That is the core of sport anime. Not performances.
You know a shit with sprinkle is still a shit at the end and yuri on ice is the perfect example of that definition.
Yuri x Victor is the ONLY progression in the anime.
I actually made a review of yuri on ice. If you want to expand your knowledge on my opinion on that cheap making of a sport anime. Go do that.
You there's something known as talking in life?? Right??
Episode 5 has one performance. So your opinion again.
I think they took episode 2, episode 6 and 7 to do handstands. The rest were practicing flips, stunts and tumbling. So again opinion wrong.
They isn't any still shots. I think there is one episode with it. Which is in episode 3 as they finally did the back-handspring and tumbling. Did you ever try animation?? If not DON'T COMPLAIN SUCH IDIOTIC THINGS.
How much you know about sport anime?? Performances after performances doesn't make it a good sport anime. The characters must change both physically and emotionally to the sports itself. Take Amanchu! is an anime center a diving club but they never actually show a lot of full diving scene in the ocean. But is so clear that diving change those girls lives both emotionally and physically.
You do know they have NO EXPERIENCES with cheerleading right?? So they have to start from the basics of cheerleading. Handstand, tumbling and flips are the basic of cheerleading. The only characters with cheerleading experiences are Hissashi and Sho. If they actaully does flips and all in the first few episode they could kill themselves.
What?? The movement look unnatural?? What are you sitting on a wheelchair or something?? The movement look fine and natural.
They will have some characters drama in their life as it is based of a real cheerleading team in Japan.
Like I say cheerleading is only consists of those 5 things
cheer, tumbling, jumps, dances and stunts.
Sure the anime could talk the dances part a bit deeper but hey at least we are getting an OVA of it.
You know what I'm gonna lists down every episode of the cheer
Episode 1: Having to set up the team and go see the spark team perform
Episode 2: Learning how to do handstand as well getting new member
Episode 3: Learning tumbling, back handstand and tumbling
Episode 4: Learning stunts, join practices with dreams and creating a team name
Episode 5: Haru learn to do the back flip thing in the air as well as the debut performances
Episode 5.5 (The last 3 mins): New members joining the team
Episode 6: Introduction to the new members as well as getting into Sho past
Episode 7: CHILL HISSAHI
Episode 8: cheering on hissahi to join back the team as well as learning harder stunts
Episode 9: Cheering Kazu on in the hospital.
Episode 10: Sho went to see sakura as to a references being domino saying that the breakers performances is a circus.
Episode 11: Haru cheering her sister in her Judo match. Oh yea cheering is part of cheerleading
Episode 12: Wining or losing doesn't matter in cheerleading as it is not those type of sport
This is more of a sport anime than Yuri on ice
Yuri on ice don't get me started on that cheap making of a sports anime
Wataru (glasses guy)- He has been on the track team and has fail his entrance exam twice and he felt that he has been running all by himself. Hence he has been using quotes from other people instead of using his own words.
Gen (orange hair guy)- Has though that his childhood friend Ichiro has always been one step ahead of him and though his left behind.
Ichiro (Gen childhood friend)- always like to show-off his move and bring people down and say "why can't you do something simple"??
Ton (The fat one)- Having self-doubt that brings his team down and as the show progress we saw some progression in term of breaking his self doubt
Hissahi (The serious guy)- He wanted to join the sparks team at Yomei but and out failing his entrance exam. So when he heard of male cheerleading team in his university. He is happy and joy but when he gets to the team... He was Yea those guys need help but if we pratice hard enough. We can do it... Unfortunately he wasn't by the team
Saku (The pink hair)- A small and tiny child that hated himself for that. But he learn as being small could be an advantage as he can be a flyer
Chen (Chinese guy)- Ok, he's here to improve his Japanese and at the end he did just that by calling off the spark captain by saying those complicated Japanese words.
Kin(used to have gold hair)- Though that being a man must be a bad guy or cause trouble to his parents. But he does develop and learn that being a man isn't just about that
Kin's younger brothers- Ok, those 2 doesn't have a story to tell. But if you pay careful attention to the show (which I don't think you do). Whenever the older brother say "as a man you must do this or that". It shows that they can't make a decision by themselves and after that year his brother isn't gonna be in the team anymore. So whose give them advise??
Takuya (Break-dancer older brother)- Worry-puss
Takumi (Break-dancer younger brother)- Can't make a decision without his older brother worry the shit of them
The characters design does look like human.
Take a look at this:
And he is not talking

How much you know about cheerleading??
What is cheerleading?? What is a cheerleader?? Go look that up.
Cheerleading include those 5 things
1. cheers
2. jumps
3. tumbling
4. dances
5. stunts
Tell me does this series cover those 4 things?? You are talking from somebody that is related to a cheerleader.
Also putting performances after performances after performances is NOT a sport anime
The animation, the faces look off model as the characters look like a real human being.
The cheerleading performance is what they are trying to avoid as they want to focus on the fundamental basic of what is a cheerleader and what is a cheerleading. Cause how many of us know what is actual cheerleading??
Everybody got a backstory.
Animation, You do know the studio who is making the show also did servamp which aired the same date as cheer danshi and the same time.
Plus, the animation looks good.
