Thanks for the secret Santa gifts. You’ve chosen good ones that fit my tastes well.

Insomniacs After School is one that I was thinking about checking out, but hadn’t gotten around to it yet. I’ve watched about half of it now, and I’m enjoying it. It has a nice, mellow slice of life vibe.

Asobi Asobase is one I hadn’t heard of, and it’s been fun checking it out. I was a little unsure about what it was trying do do after the first episode, but I’ve watched a few now, and its aesthetic makes sense. It has made me laugh out loud at least once every episode, so it’s doing something right!

Perfect Blue is an interesting choice. I’m actually a huge Satoshi Kon fan, and have seen all of his work except this one. I even own a DVD of this, but have never gotten around to watching it. It’s one of those gaps in my anime viewing that I need to take care of. Thanks for the reminder!

I've only watched it up to episode 4. I'm too lazy to continue watching, but I will do so some time in the future. I'd say it's a good adaptation of a lukewarm manga... Production is great but there isn't much to it other than that. If the later episodes don't prove me wrong.

I wouldn't say it's good, but it's surprisingly decent when compared to most school romance manga. Well, at least I thought it would be a lot worst at first.

But yeah, the characters are kind of compelling. My biggest problem is that it was just boring to read through sometimes, since it has the sluggish pace that most of these romances that try to maintain a status quo have. I'd compare it with Komi-san but a bit more fun.
