The Kakegurui Twin anime itself wasn't also as good as I expected. They removed some parts that I consider quite important, like Mary's first gamble. I think the live action did a better job in adapting the manga. But for me, I like Sachiko and Mikura's craziness, and it's fun to see gambles that are different from those in main story.
I was also a bit late in watching Kakegurui, as at first the title didn't attract me much. It's until YouTube recommended me the Tower of Doors scene, then I completed the entire anime. Unfortunately many people could give up the show and simply call it yuribait before even reaching to the second season (or else everyone should list Kakegurui as a yuri show and Kirasaya as one of the greatest yuri couples of all time, just joking), but I'm still grateful about having watched this scene and seeing how a show depicting gambles deals with romance.
I think the overall anime quality is good, given that yuri anime usually don't have much budget. But I think it's also because the story doesn't involve fights like Watashi no Oshi wa Akuyaku Reijou. To be honest before watching that I thought the story really happened in a real academy, but turned out it's a role play thing. Also as German learner, it's fun to see them use German words (but with weird pronunciation, like "Sommer" has become "Zommer"). I think the anime's Twitter even taught German words to audience.
The overall story is fine. But to be honest, my most anticipated part is seeing how the girls operate the cafe, like how they thought of the idea of Schwestertee and the voting things. As for the relationship, I think Sumika and Kanoko's interactions are rather weird for me. But I think this anime is the type that gets better as the story proceeds, and usually the most intriguing parts are not included in the anime, but rather in manga. Maybe that's why I think the story is fine but not excellent.
What do you think about the Kakegurui Twin anime? I saw that you've just completed it.
I remembered one of my friends on MAL once said it's rare for Jojo fans to like yuri at the same time. I think that's true, as on other social media my friends or followers like either Jojo or yuri, but rarely both. I love both yuri in Jojo (but it's a rare thing) and separate yuri works, and I hope to see more in both sides.
I still have some other music bands and musicians that I like, but I haven't updated my profile for a long time (except for the "updated" part where I inform everyone that I'm busy).
I can't wait for scans.
Waar gaat JoJo's Bizarre Adventure over? :D
