Well, more than anything, it's just a ton of fun to watch. The first season has its fair share of issues but the second elevates it to being one of the greatest slice of life titles. And the characters (particularly Azusa) are developed so well that they genuinely feel human by the end of it. It's hard not to be a little bit depressed once the story comes to a close and they all graduate.
I wasn't a fan of slice of life or 'moe' in the past but K-ON is what changed that for me. It's a great anime and provided you aren't expecting a dramatic story, you should have yourself a good time.
haha, nice Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Comedy wa Machigatteiru review, it looks like a year of going through Jowers' essays made us sound somewhat intellectual even when we don't try. I found it helpful =P.
Good Eden review, and I pretty much agree with what you said about Saki. While she's a charming and pleasant character, she had no real significance in the plot of the story.
