It's better then. I remember I was super lazy to update my list cause I had like a lot to add on my first time itself on that thinking of pictures, avatar and signature to use. But once you complete them you feel happy happy :P
There is a MAL updater software which I never used till this date. That software automatically updates your anime watched from what I read so you don't have to manually edit and update each time. But I'm used to my manual updates here so I'll tick to it.
Yes Elfen lied is classified in that category though I'll remove the comedy part. More like ecchi, horror and action. And as I said comedy is everywhere, even in horror and drama anime. As for subs, there's a lot more than you can think so how to pick the best one? Simply look at the anime profile's page here at MAL and scroll down to see all fansubbing groups in all languages available in order of the top one.
Then you can google or torrent the anime.
Same I like the bright side of anime where you laugh a lot and enjoy actions, not dark side with horror and complex stories that screw up your mind >_<
Sometimes they may be fun watching like Steins Gate, Ga Rei or Durarara!
Exactly!! MAL is the best when it comes to organize your list neatly and it costs just some seconds to update your new anime watched or to watch :D
Of course the first time it will take time cause you will have to add a lot in the list and make a nice profile for other people to know more about yourself.
Yeah that's what I meant.
There are Shounen anime destined for boys with plenty of actions/adventure like Naruto, Bleach, One Piece and much more. Shoujo anime destined for girls like comedy and romance like Kaichou wa maid sama, Shuffle and so on. Others like Horror, Psychological. Seinen destined for mature people. Shonen ai/Yaoi and shoujo ai/Yuri aka boys love and girls love. Yaoi and Yuri tend to be hentai tho but people to put them on the same level as the "ai". And ecchi are anime with sex comedies.
And yeah Soul Eater is an awesome shounen to watch definitely :D
Here I watch practically every anime genres with the exception of yaoi and boys love.
Less of horror and psychological.
Most favorited are Shounen, Comedy and Ecchi. :D
One Piece, Gintama, Fairy Tail are some of my most fav anime.
Otherwise I like my slice of life/romance more with comedy like Baka to test, school rumble and kaichou wa maid sama than comedy with drama/tragedy like shuffle.
In short Comedy is like god to me cause it fits nearly most of other anime genres. :D
I love ecchi a lot too. Some of my favorite ecchi anime are Rosario vampire, Sora no Otoshimono, Kiss x Sis, Motto to love ru, B Gata H kei and HOTD not including the 2011 and recent one.
My Neighbour Totoro is my second favourite movie. I just like Spirited Away more probably because it has romance in it where else Totoro's plot was probably a bit too simple for me. I prefer plots that has more suspense in it xD
I think I have watched Laputa once... Castle in the Sky, right? But I can't remember what it was about at all >_< Thinking hard about it, I might have watched it when I was a baby or something, considering that I have a hunch it was one of the very, very first movies I have watched... But I think I'm going to watch it again soon, I suppose ^^
I agree. I love the fantasy and animations in Spirited Away but that's probably because it was made in around 2000 while most of the movies like Totoro are older, meaning, the animations were a little more different when technology hasn't expanded that much.
I sometimes rewatch anime like Cardcaptor Sakura because it brings back nostalgic memories. Oh, nostalgia. When I look at today's anime, somehow, it's not any better than the olden day ones apart from its high def animations, out-of-the-world plots, etc. It's probably because I'm just being biased with my childhood.
Speaking of Ghibli films, I should have put Spirited Away in my top favourite anime list, but thinking that it deserves more than that as in... it should be in the #1 spot, I requested for a profile layout using this anime, instead. :)
Welcome to Mal~ What's your favourite Ghibli movie? I used to love watching them when I was small, except they were in English instead of Japanese. I especially liked Spirited Away which was and still is my favourite movie of them all ^^
Welcome to MAL(∩_∩)
I hope you're going to enjoy this website as much as I do:3
How long have you been watching anime? Personally, I've known about manga and anime all the time, but it's first last November I began for real, with One Piece as my introduction.
But I've watched plenty of anime since then, so if you would like me to recommend some, I'll gladly do it. Just come by my profile!:)

So how are you finding MAL and its members so far?
And what are your favorite anime genres ?
