I did find it through your orb review (although I just barely glanced over it with my eyes and I just happened to see Dandadan mentioned there), since I was just starting the show, I didn't want to wait half a year for the show to finish tbh but I've been eyeing it since I saw the trailer for it.

I can see why Dandadan is not for everyone, I also get tired of battle shonen sometimes, they're usually very same-y. I liked Dandadan because it was insane and retarded but somehow it just keeps it consistent. I was just genuinely stunned after seeing it below DS.

Well I personally love Dandadan and also can't stand half of the DS cast (a lot of that comes to almost everyone being a one-trick pony and no real character progression), so it's a preference thing for me, but I just can't seem to see those two on the same level. The later stages of DS manga made me genuinely hate the story as a whole, so my viewpoint is a bit warped but the whole training season just doesn't feel like something the anime needed at all, while Dandadan just never really stops.

Definitely understood that and I’ve also brought up a lot of times with others how these big high production shows get all the love without people getting the chance to check out shows like Orb. Rakugo is kind of in the same boat it’s loved by everyone who’s watched it but it’s still very very underappreciated. By far my fav anime of all time from the drama, direction, characters, music(especially during the second season showing how melancholy things become) and most of all its storytelling.

Your Orb review was actually one of the best reviews I've ever seen. It's just a breath of fresh air and I like how you mentioned that you still love those other shows(Re Zero, Dandanan) but acknowledged that they kind of are a repated trope in the anime world. I clicked on your profile and when I saw your favourite anime's, I knew you were the GOAT LOL.

I mean that's fine and all but the first sentence of your review was "tired of X show? Or tired of y show?. Here's a show that is completely unrelated to the other 2 shows I mentioned, but I'll still dunk on these series anyways cuz why not." It just felt petty and unnecessary to me, there are ways to shine light on hidden gems without doing all that.

No need to shit on great series like re:zero and dandadan just to praise your own (orb). Not a very nice thing to do, you can praise one series without feeling the need to diminish another.
