Anime played such an integral role during my childhood, and continues to pervade my life through [now] semi-regular viewing entertainment. Outside of ESPN, Travel Channel, and Food Network, anime comprises the large bulk of what I watch. I get so much enjoyment out of a quality anime series, and the more I see, the more I learn to appreciate the sheer amount of work that goes into producing a well-rounded, and solid anime product. The gusto gleaned through the kinetic action and intricate plots yields tremendous satisfaction, thus perpetuating a quest to find the next great anime to enjoy!
Not much of a manga reader however. In my opinion, watching the live action is incomparable to what you would garner simply from looking at static illustration. Though I know with running manga/anime series, the manga leaves its respective anime cohort in the dust with regard to production in a lot of cases, I just can't bring myself to change my approach...at least yet. I'm knockin' it before I've even tried it, but しょうがない. That's just my way of thinking.
