Both series are primarily about art. After having watched Hyouge Mono, you will recognize quite a few of the names and pieces of art that are featured in Gallery Fake. The protagonists are similar in that they can be quite cunning in obtaining art that caught their interest (or is worth a ton of money).

Both series have a traditional japanese setting. They feature rather odd yet loveable protagonists, one being a pacifist samurai, the other being a warrior with an aesthete's mind.

Both feature many honorable warriors engaging in many battles and politics. The exploration of the rift between politicians/soldiers and warriors/aesthetes is also similar. Though there are distinct main characters, the story is shown from many different perspectives. Lastly, Furuta and Yang respectively are among the most relatable protagonists in anime.

Onizuka and Furuta are both hilarious main characters that strive to be the very best in their respective field (Greatest teacher/greatest aesthete). Both series also feature the perhaps most hilarious facial expressions ever seen in anime. Both characters are also clumsy to some extent, and aren't aware of their talent, but still leave great impressions on the people around them.

In both u can find: gun action, undead, gore (though its much heavier in hellsing) and chicks killing undead with guns

Another feels like Higurashi compressed into one arc. Dieing people, classmates hiding something, dark feeling overall. One thing Another lacks in comparison to Higurashi is comedy.

Both are about a group of girls doing things in school. However, Manabi Straight has an actual plot and a strangely satisfying ending. Also, the setting is more interesting. In any case, dont watch K-On if you expect any kind of plot like in Manabi straight, because there is none.

Both involve heavy gun action and splatter. Black Lagoon has not as much splatter, though. Make sure to watch Black Lagoon TV before but its not as violent.
