Don't like Fairy Tail anymore, the writer can make a good build up for the start of a story arc, but he always fails at the fights and middle of the story. But yeah 7 year timeskip = better then everyone holding hands and beating a dragon.

Movie 5 and 7 are really good, though some of the movies make it a hit or miss. I would rank them....

Haven't watched the anime. Though I've heard the manga is much better since the anime cuts off at a really bad point in time. Berserk is really good until you realize how lazy the writer is in his releases so you wait months for a chapter that didn't move the plot at all ;_;
