Interests have moved elsewhere. I very rarely watch anime anymore, and read manga only occasionally (I mainly use mangaupdates.com now).


I prefer manga over anime, for the most part.

Much of my anime list is stuff I watched over ten years ago, so the memory's a little fuzzy and some ratings are guesstimates. Despite that, I'm relatively new to anime and manga as a whole, having developed a real interest in only the past few years.

Like many around my age, Robotech was my first real introduction to the medium, and I'll always remember it fondly.

I'm pretty selective with what I'll watch, and don't particularly care about keeping current with all the newest shows. On the contrary, I often find myself more attracted to the older "classics", which tend to get overlooked by most.

YKK may very well be the elusive Greatest Thing Ever™. I will not be convinced otherwise.

I'm still occasionally adding anime that I'd forgotten about (should have most, if not all of it, by now). I've also seen bits and pieces of a few of the more popular series, ca. 2000 (Cowboy Bebop, Trigun, Escaflowne, NGE, Lain, Tenchi Muyo, etc.), so I am somewhat familiar with them. I should get around to watching them eventually..

As you can surely tell, I'm not the least bit consistent with my viewing/reading habits. I can easily go weeks/months without; it mostly depends on my mood.

Fun fact: I share a birthday with Hayao Miyazaki.


Please, for the love of all that is good, stop abusing the word "epic", thank you.

Also, anime is a medium. Shounen and shoujo are demographics. Neither of these things are genres.
