It had nice animations and decent ideas and concepts, with some genuinely nice emotional parts. I had quite a number of issues with the piling up of plot problems than may have otherwise be trivial. I would hope they actually matter for s2. Fuck that edgy cliffhanger ending, though, cause it thematically stinks.

I'd say go for both. I'm kinda behind on the LN right now myself (only at vol 3). I personally think Elaina has her more genuine kind and caring side showcased better in the LN.

I hate lightnovels that pander to the lowest common denominator. Deadpan self insert male MC, harem of waifu bait, braindead plotline, excessive exposition because the authors don’t know how to write dialogue. They all feel so forced it’s never anything different. It’s not all light novels I hate just the ones that get adapted.

I really like Chainsaw Man so far. I was only trying a little bit to see if I wanted to binge it. I will read all of it I think.

Would you recommend Bokura no's manga or anime?

Yes I agree Shadows House looks and sounds great. The writing is good too, so I'm assuming it's a proper adaptation.

I didn't understand the ending, I don't know if it's me who's dumb but it didn't feel complete for me, it looks like a bad ending to be honest but a good one at the same time

I think Wonder Egg's production surpasses every new anime except Jujutsu Kaisen. That's the power of working your staff to death.

It's hard to pick my favorite KyoAni work because there are so many good ones. This is how I'd rank them: Nichijou, Violet EG, Koe no Katachi, Disappearance of Haruhi, Dragon Maid.

The OP reminds me of Sarazanmai's ED, weirdly enough. Wonder Egg has Ikuhara vibes, except with a lot more straight forward symbolism.
