Year of the Dragon is OK, but I'm more excited about next year. This may not be the year everyone would want to remember, but I would like to see how Black Friday and the holiday will turn out.
That German American friend your age I told you about hopes that you had a wonderful birthday. Born in North Carolina, but currently lives in Arizona.
I hope that said other friend from North Carolina will have a chance to watch Gundam SEED Freedom in the foreseeable future. She would definitely love it and it seems like one of the best movies so far. Glad to see that all those veteran seiyuu reprised their roles. I'm glad that Houko Kuwashima got a new role and I usually see her as Isara Gunther.
As for hobbies, I got so much to draw, but not enough time and I also need to make time for indie comics. I am reading Copperhead though and I really wanted to delve into space westerns.
I'll let you know if I find some indie comics with themes you like. It depends though and I hope to discover new stories.
I hope that your car will stay fixed. Not all kids are going to go back home after school through a bus.
I'm also happy that the wet season is back in central Mexico and I also can't wait for summer.
After playing Star Ocean 2, I'm having thoughts about watching the EX adaptation. Not sure what Elise thinks of that game, but she sure loves JRPGs and some classic Pokémon. Said semitomboy about your age that married a Chinese man told me that The Second Story was one of her most cherished games since childhood. Most likely since Y2K and I can see why it's so much fun.
It took me several replays to figure out how to get Chisato and Opera to join my party to make things easier.
Other than that, I found out through AI that Min Chinese or Southern Min has simpler particles with more consistent grammatical function than Japanese. Japanese particles are hard to learn, but at least page 149 of Oxford helped me cover those tricky grammatical attachments.
Suzume huh? ANN's description of that anime reminds me of Vision of Escaflowne, Ni no Kuni or Wizard of Oz.
You're welcome by the way. You and your daughter deserve all the help you guys can get.
I thank G4TechTV or Anime Unleashed block for getting me into Silent Möbius which had a sequel over ten years ago. ANN still has a list of anime that were once aired on that channel. Before Anime Unleashed, I saw Spanish dubbed episodes of Tenchi Universe, DBZ and Lost Universe on Univision.
Spring has been hot and dry, but that's normal here in central Mexico. Many people around me are taking breaks for a catholic holiday, but I choose to do the same stuff everyday. Including chores, labor, usual entertainment and homework. Mango season is also back.
I hope that you and your daughter will be better than alright this year. You guys deserve a relaxing spring as well.
I heard from some penpals that America has been difficult for them.
In the world of Ragnarok Online, her class or job would be a dancer because she uses a whip. I think that trouvere or the higher dancer class is looking very beautiful. Gotta be a female archer before becoming one, RO logic.
One thing you and Feena have in common is that both have personality.
Anyway milady, I got lots more Japanese testing to take care of so my Japanese will match a semitomboy about your age that I know with an Asian husband.
As for Japanese lessons, I'm on a roll. I barely used Pokémon Database, until I looked at all those Chinese characters that I copied and pasted onto Nihongodera. Now my screenshot collection is stacked.
Kind of old news, but it is said that iPads are affecting the academic performance of many kids (flunking everyday). Those tablets cost about 590 dollars here in Mexico. Practically next door to the Nintendo Switch's price and I doubt that these households would choose an iPad over that console for kids.
Average households here rarely afford both and everyone knows that iPads can't play recent Switch games like Scarlet and Violet.
I still agree with some lady in a Georgia talk radio station saying that computers should be in an open area if kids are going to use them at all (for parental guidance and to keep pornography away from reach of children). I was in a school bus when I heard that.
Truth be told, I spent money on a PC instead of whatever Apple's cutting edge stuff they're selling right now. I haven't touched a Mac or any of those overpriced Apple products since I was in high school.
In layman terms, I'm not meant to be an Apple consumer. I can watch anime or read manga on this seven year-old Samsung also (I don't buy cutting edge phones).
I wish that I could introduce this awesome friend of mine you and Elise's age. She's of German descent and likes anime.
Bleach being one of her favorites.
In layman terms, pleased to meet you milady (kifujin or きふじん).
Here's that book I mentioned the other day:

I had no idea that your birthday was practically next door to that of said semitomboy from North Carolina (turned 35 on the second of October). Hopefully you and your daughter spent quality time on that special day. I would have given you a birthday present or something surprising too.
I once thought that your birthday was close to Halloween Day, but at the same time, I knew that your thought patterns were very different than that of Scorpios that I met. Not necessarily liars, they just think or see things differently (no one can show everything). They still need guidance though like Jackie Chan's other half after using the tiger talisman who his niece thought was evil. Rowdy, juvenile, reckless and mischievous half, but not evil.
As for your thought patterns or personality, I find it to be as signature with as much character as your fingerprint. In some way special too.
I'm no doctor, but I would definitely relieve of pain using acupressure or acupuncture (had to relieve my ankle by targeting pressure points). You definitely deserve relief after a hard day.
Been thinking about wrapping lasso around my right foot's center for general pain until I can afford those special needles (useful for certain pressure points that one pencil eraser can't handle alone). Said to release endorphins which helps relieve all kinds of pain, maybe stress as well.
By the way, I've been making flash cards for kanji (Romaji and English included) after having read Instant Japanese. The best overall proxy teaching I've ever had.
Because there's no kanji, it's very easy to read for kids and adults.
Special thanks to that Instant Japanese book.
With that said, here's something that I showed to my tomboyish friend as of late on her recent birthday:
That is, making kerosene or turpentine out of used products. With the help of sawdust (lots of pine here) or biomethane. Kind of like transmuting gold out of nothing. I would make enough of either fuel for space agencies to pay.
Better yet, make enough kerosene for your cooking, off-the-grid or camping needs.
With that said, life in central Mexico is alright. I kind of miss the countryside and flora (I even miss the smell of honeysuckles) of Georgia though. Even the taste of blackberries. Some of that bright side of life.
With that said, I would definitely ease as much of your pain as possible. Kind of like how an early adulthood friend I used to know did for me.
My little dog passed away fairly recently, but she lived the best 13 years of her life.
My birthday is up next. After that, I'll be looking forward to yours. My awesome penpal from Ontario is about to have a birthday this early October also. A woman about your age who likes anime also.
Anyway, I hope that you and your daughter will have a more delightful September or last quarter of this rabbit year.
I wish that I could support you in some way for having a heart of gold and caring for your daughter. There is a new job that I really want so that one day I'll be able to lend you enough money for you and your daughter's needs.
Can't wait to master enough Japanese so that I'll be able to re-read Silent Möbius more comfortably.
Would I recommend that old book to you? Absolutely!
So yeah! Have a wonderful summer and hurricane season is right next door.
