During my recent rewatches, I thought Fate Babylonia and Fate/Apocrypha had better writing than stuff like Demon Slayer, Jigokuraku, Fairy Tail, Seven Deadly Sins, and Black Clover. Actually, the Fate franchise has been pretty safe and consistent for me and even Fate/Extra is better than a lot of people make out or give it credit for. I thought there were some rather beautiful and thoughtful dialogues in Babylonia (from Gilgamesh) and Apocrypha (from Jeanne d'Arc and others) about life and the human condition, and it wasn't cliché or hackneyed either. It's the kind of thing that puts it a step up from the majority of shounen.

3. Fate Babylonia - 9
4. Fate/stay night Heaven's Feel - 8.5
5. Fate/Apocrypha - 8
