Been watching anime since the 90s (late 80s if you count Speed Racer), got this account in 2k15 and I add as I remember! And as I watch, obv, but I consume a lot of media in a buncha formats from across the globe so idk how active this account is gonna be. I've watched way more forgettable and unpleasant anime than good stuff tbqh
If I give something a 5 it means it's worth watching, a 6 is above average anime, a 7 means it's probably among my favourite flawed anime, an 8 means it's dangerously close to perfection and a 9 is basically a 10. 10s are reserved for stuff that's laid eggs in my heart that have since burst into nostalgiaworms and outcompeted other nostalgiaworms for dominance, but idk if any of my personal 10s are really any lower than a 8 minus my nostalgia.
Basically if I give something a 4, you might like it. Me rating something 4 is another person rating something 7 tbh. I've seen a lot of 8 and 9 reviews on here that I'd put at a 4 or 5, not as in I personally think that particular anime is a 4 or 5 but if I wrote as critical a review as they wrote I would've felt weird slapping a 9 on it (which is why idc about that so much with the 10s, that's my place for throwing other criteria out the window and just digitally hugging something precious close to my web presence).
But if I rate something a 3 or lower? Seriously don't bother. 1s and 2s are rare, but Angel Sanctuary was a waste of the talents and time of everyone involved in making it (for example), and "so bad it's good" basically gets a 7 or higher from me most of the time 'cuz that's (one of) my jam(s), or a 3 or 4 if it's at least a chuckle or two, y'know? 1s and 2s are for things that made me feel depressed to exist in a world that allowed poor quality art, dialogue and story to reach those depths, not for kitschy badness.

I'd also suggest anything by Masaaki Yuasa for LSD or other stuff. I've watched KLK on acid and coke and it was godly.
We should be friends :D want my skype?
