I started watching anime in the summer of 2021 so I could understand what my friends were talking about and because I am not too fond of Western animated media. I have, perhaps, lost some dignity, but at least I understand the haha funny anime references now. As for the media consumption itself, I used to binge-watch anime for hours on end when I first got into the medium, but since I graduated high school and started working, I just watch whenever time allows and I'm too tired to focus on my more productive hobbies, like writing, drawing, and crying.

My favorite genres are action, thriller, mystery, and anything psychological, so I tend to watch and read a lot of shounen and seinen anime/manga. I'm not really into romance or slice-of-life shows, but every now and then I can enjoy one.
