woo...wooo...~~~
I'm just a weirdo who likes to watch anime and read manga.
Welcome to my list. I actually used to manually make lists of the stuff I'd watch (with good ol' gel pens and paper!) before I knew that MAL existed. eek!
So...I've liked anime since I was 4 or 5 with Sailor Moon and Pokémon. And it only grew from there... From ages 12-14, every so often I would get "obsessed" with a certain show. Now, I can't get truly obsessed like I used to (quite a shame, really), but ever since I began my online endeavors, I've been watching anime and reading manga like no other! :D
My favorites are either the stuff I grew up with or the stuff that helped me grow up. I especially love an anime/manga with characters I can relate to. Or one that evokes any kind of intense emotion (except boredom) from me. Eheh~ But when ya get down to it, I enjoy a slow-paced slice of life just as much as an action-packed adventure that changes the world! <3

I also finished reading a bunch of RAW Silent Möbius manga chapters as of late. Both the '88 series and QD which has the most underrated artwork out of any modern-day manga.
To be quite honest, Japanese particles are more complicated with more inconsistent grammatical function compared to their Korean or Hokkien counterparts.
I don't read Korean comics or graphic novels, but after playing Ragnarok Online for decades, I will say that Ragnarok is a great one. The online game based on that graphic novel definitely has a more extended story and has obviously surpassed the manhwa.
As for manga, I'm thinking about reading more Ah! My Goddess before I move on to indie comics and Ragnarok Online.
Korean mmorpgs are better this gen than modern AAA games from the west. I was never a hardcore gamer to begin with and that's one of the reasons why I hate Ubisoft. I'm too smart to be playing video games 24/7 while mindlessly supporting stingy Sony as well.
I rather buy anime directly from Japan than to give my money to Sony (that means Crunchyroll too; more like Crummyroll) and Aniplex. I also can't wait to buy anime from Playasia, even if the Blu-ray disc is Japanese only like Turn A Gundam. Crummyroll doesn't deserve to sub that anime because their Japanese is mediocre. Mediocre because they plagiarized subtitles from a Naruto fansub group once, copycats!
About fruits basket, yeah i watched about like 3-4 eps of the new version since we last spoke and i totally felt the same way you did! Def too “new” of a look of the animation/art style in my opinion, ah i miss the look of old animes in general..🙁 and right? i get what you mean about the comedy, in the original fruits basket there were many times where i actually laughed out loud and i also always liked how they made all those funny faces like tohrus shocked look and stuff lol nice to know we feel the same about it :) it’s just too bad they didn’t give a true conclusion in the original show though, only because i never read the manga so idk how it ends. Ugh i might have to either read the manga or watch the later eps of the new version just to find out what happens. XD
Oh and who do you like more: kyo or yuki?
About pixie pop i know right! I actually think youre the first and only other person i saw on here who knows of pixie pop, i can’t believe it’s not more well known. Hm i’d say my favorite characters are mayu’s friend and konoha (even though i know she was technically like the “love rival” lol) omg i remember when i first read it when i was younger i used to think shinya was soo hot 🤣
AHH i’d never heard of chibimaru before so i looked him up, soooo adorbs 🐶😍 wittle doggy aw! (I love dogs hehe) nice choices. My favorites are cinnamoroll, my melody, pochaccho, usahana, and my sweet piano…and now chibimaru 🤣💜 but like you said theyre all good it’s like so hard to choose lol
Oh I own pochaccho and cinnamoroll plushies i wanted to show you, i took a pic 💕
Again, it's a great pen, doing its job.
I haven't tried black yet, but I'm glad to see my left hand write completely by itself when having to write kanji, Greek symbols or complex functions.
Writing kanji with my left sure takes a lot of skill.
As a fairly experienced welder, I say that ESAB's version the 6013 is more lefty friendly. The flux is made of titania with some iron powder to make flux removal easier while improving ductility of bead. I definitely agree with an old guy saying that these rutile electrodes take a lot of skill to use. At the same time, their overall chemical compositions are confusing like junkyard steel.
There's a lady chemist that I know, but she lives all the way in Ontario. Maybe she can tell me which of those hybrid filler materials have the highest iron or cellulose ratio one day. She might even be good at appraising so no one would try to give us gold plated stuff instead of the real deal.
That friend of mine Alice said that chemistry is very stressful and can make you work endlessly, but I strongly believe that being smart is amazing. She also has better things to do than to be watching most currently airing anime that are made deliberately for dimwitted teenagers.
Hmm! Year of the Rabbit has been an OK year so far. If I could get my Maped Visio set by December, then maybe 2023 will be a bit more worthwhile.
I've also gotten used to kanji and I thank my flashcards+a Dorley Kindersly dictionary for helping memorize over 1,400. Can't wait to memorize 1,945 Chinese characters, the amount that Chinese schoolkids know.
As for manga, I really can't wait to read RAW volumes of Silent Möbius QD, the sequel to that late 80s manga. I also intend to use Japanese for playing Wild Arms 2. Underrated because the dialogue got marred by bad translations. Yes, this game has worse translations than GBC JRPGs. All the more reason to learn Japanese.
As you can see, that's why it's the epitome of underrated.
I'm going to have to re-watch it's sequel Axess some time. So yeah! I kind of forgot how enjoyable NT Warrior was. Definitely the best overall adaptation of that Capcom franchise.
Xebec truly respected Megaman more than Capcom respected their own franchises.
Capcom these days feel negative, bitter and senile, but it's no surprise that most of Japan is old. Refusing to make customers happy anymore.
I would have wanted GORE to have Yasuhiro Nightow as the character designer, but that Japanese lady that did those characters designs for Bayonetta did a great job. She's a big fan of said mangaka so she has my respect.
One of my other Year of the Rabbit plans is to read Digimon V-Tamers. I've heard great things about it through some Youtube comments. So I added it to my manga list.
I'd suggest that you dive into the 2nd season soon, you're missing out on an epic story..
And yes definitely, the (original) fruits basket, kodocha and school rumble are all some of my all time favorites! have you watched the fruits basket remake? And omg i love that you have pixie pop in your favorites it used to be on mine too, its still so special to me though!! I always wished they made it into an anime ugh.. :(
Yay a sanrio fan!🤗 agreed i feel like they create the legit cutest characters but cinnamoroll takes the cake (or in this case the cinnamon🤣)i even had a little plushy of him! who else do you like?
DRRR is crazy based no doubt.
Linebarrels of Iron is great and I like how every character gets to complete their arc. Especially Miu Kujou who is a pop idol that dealt with bullies and their boyfriends pretending to like her.
On the other hand, I can't wait to read Sorcerer Hunters. Some woman with an Asian husband indirectly recommended it to me and I'd like to know more about those interesting side characters that never appeared in the ADV dubbed anime.
By the way, I got Omega Factor at around the day of Tezuka's birthday and it's very canon. Can't wait to fight more rogue robots. Like those on the moon.
Anyway, I'll talk to you again soon enough and I'll try to read Linebarrels of Iron completely on the meantime.
I was reading Trigun Maximum recently and I love it.
Actually, I enjoy one of a kind series instead of new or old. Fafner at one point, was a new anime and so was Dinozone. I actually dig this other anime called Arc The Lad, mainly because good adaptations of video games are hard to come by. Most video game adaptations are still formulaic, unfortunately.
I like Sorcerer Hunters mainly because I like well-known voice actors from Japan and because the story is one of a kind. Not because the artstyle is pretty even though it is. Same with Dot Hack Sign, Tiger & Bunny and even the Madlax.
