Yes, I was in highschool as well. I met a group of people back then, although I wasn't into it back then. And the group that I met were very good people. :) They called themselves 'The Otaku Club' A club where everyone would not judge others and have a lot in common. Everyone loved anime and that's where my love for anime was born. :3 I started watching Naruto first, and ever since then I began to become an Otaku myself. xD

LOL, how can one love an anime without watching it? Oh, they're missing a lot. Yes, the show is simply put, amazing. I highly recommend it. It has a good story, characters and the art design is beautiful. (Beautiful art design is mainly on Fate/Zero and Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Bladeworks.) The first original Fate/Stay Night didn't have a good art but it was pretty decent. I still loved the story.

Getting addicted to anime is only natural and of course, a good thing. I was in the same position as you are when I first began to watch more anime at 2009 I believe. And look at me now, an anime nerd I'd say haha.

Knowing your taste, I'd want to recommend you something highly.

Watch Fate/Stay Night and Fate/Zero after that, then watch Fate/Stay Night Unlimited Bladeworks. It's amazing and you shouldn't miss it, at all.

Being new to anime and manga. How are your experiences so far? I see you and I have an extreme high level of compatibility which I find quite interesting. Not many of those I've chatted with have the same compatibility as you and I. Very rare indeed.

You also have Clannad as your favorite. Did you watch Clannad After Story? I, personally, find it very sad yet so amazing and satisfying to watch. One of the very few I enjoyed myself watching and also crying over it. If you haven't seen it yet, I'd recommend you watch it soon.

In my opinion Accel World was better than SAO, but that's just me. ^^'

As for other suggestions, feel free to go through my completed list. Anything with a score of 7 or higher (with a small handful of exceptions) I'd recommend depending on your genre preferences. ^^

If Sword Art Online was to your fancy then I'm confident that you would Enjoy Accel World which was authored by the same person.
Aside from that, some good action-oriented anime would include Btooom!, Fate/Stay Night and D.Gray-Man (though the latter is quite long).
If you're into mystery then I'd highly recommend Gosick and Another as well.
