My ratings are typically from 6-10. I don't really finish anything I might rate 5 and less and I do not keep up a dropped list, since I don't want anyone to not consider watching an anime because someone else dropped it.

I believed that a lot of sequels were excellent continuations and that companies improved upon the original, so they deserved higher ratings. It doesn't mean in any way that the first season is trash or in any way less enjoyable than the sequel. There's no point in having a 1-10 scale if all of your ratings fall into the 8-10 range, unless you're just that kind of person who doesn't finish anything you'd consider 7 and less.
