BRING IT NIGGA XD
that ain't how it looks
It's a bit hard for me not to care because it was my people (and some of theirs to be honest) that got burned alive, tortured, abused, etc. The books that they've burned, the relics that they destroyed, the fact that humanity didn't move an inch for a millennium because of them is more than enough for me. We shouldn't ignore history since that's definitely not a part that I want to be repeated. Christianity has not improved since then, it was the people themselves, Europe was sick of all that and started to reject its beliefs (the most ridiculous aspects first). That process never really happened in some Muslim countries.
Besides I've said it before people turn to whatever higher being they believe mostly when they are having a hard time. The average citizen of those countries had much shittier life and education than the average European or North American. It's normal for his views to be more radical than ours considering the difference in the standard of our life. Not a valid excuse to spread religious extremism of course, but looking the world from that point of view may be helpful.
"They are 2 sides of the same coin in my opinion. You are trying to excuse the actions of extremists by using other extremists as a pardon. I'm not talking about Christians - I don't hate them as long as they don't try to shove their religion down my throat (which is usually the case). But I disagree with the core principals of their religion. Do you believe people could've expressed themselves freely few hundred years ago and speak against Christianity the same way you speak against Islam without getting executed or worse? Monotheistic religions are not very different from Islam in terms of ideology. The only difference is that the average Muslim is more religious than the average Christian."
I don't see what the problem is really. I've disagreed multiple times with wearing such clothing in public.
