Hey, I think as long as you enjoy an anime, that's all that matters.
Baccano! Actually got me addicted, I haven't finished it, but I watched 6 episodes in one sitting and then had to leave.

It is kind of odd, you're lost at the beginning. I still am at least, but its interesting. You wanna keep watching to know what and why stuff is going on.

Yes, it's good. Don't give up on the first 4 episodes, or whatever it is. It gets better.
And it's also highly ranked here on MAL. You should check it out.

Try watching Kaiji, Hajime no Ippo, Hikaru no Go, Saint Seiya: The Lost Canva and/or Neon Genesis Evangelion instead.
No need to watch something you know you hate.

And how does it look like a rip-off from other shows? It's the most original SHOUNEN in a long time. Shounens are just rip-offs from one another.

Toriko... you have to shut off your brain and watch it. You can't think too much, or else it'll look stupid. Well, it is, but inside that stupidity lies a great, fun shounen.
