That's great! Thanks for committing to the project till the end :)
iper Apr 1, 2011 10:08 AM
That's great, this manga is really something else and worth waiting a bit more since the quality of your scans is very good. Thanks!
iper Apr 1, 2011 7:04 AM
Hi there! I was wondering, is the scanlation of No 5 completely stalled or you guys are planning on finishing the project?
Iahel Feb 22, 2011 2:58 PM
great news! hope they will finish it some day soon :)

nice profile pic, btw.

what manga is that in your profile pic?
peroxid Jan 14, 2011 9:02 AM
I really need to get that anthology, such great artists featured, but I just can't find it for an reasonable price.
Anyway, perhaps I'm a big fan of Maruo, because I'm also a fan of German expressionism horror Cinema, which Suehiro Maruo is influenced on. Overall I like good horror, and for me Maruo creates the best of Horror in manga.

I can't say what I prefer since both are completely different. I can only say I like them both.

Anything else you've been reading lately, you've been enjoying?
peroxid Jan 11, 2011 3:37 PM
Thanks a lot, already posted it.

I'm not familiar with that short story of Maruo, but you should try to read more by him. I'm a big fan by him, and I love his art. I think that a good example of his psychedelich would be to read this ´short story. If you do read it, tell me what you think of it, and if you notice any similarities between Maruo and Koike's art.

Ah that's a shame, the image looks great, and I would like to post it in my Tumblr. I'm also enjoying pretty much the manga, am currently at the third Volume. I would also say that the art remembers me of Suehiro Maruo freak outs. Are you familiar with his work?

To wait a couple of years for an volume is too long, I admit on that, but if it's to get a volume full of that crazy psychadelic pages, then I don't mind.

Hey, how a«have you been?

Great new profile picture you have, do you have it in full size?
So you're enjoying Ultra Heaven?
peroxid Nov 5, 2010 12:55 PM
Actually where I come from there are some comics shops but they charge ridiculous prices, and most of them have only english languaged manga (i.e. not very interesting manga titles). So I order anything online. I actually don't use Credit card or paypal, But I use an rather convenient portuguese system, which creates an virtual credit card with the an limit choosen by the user, and the part that isn't spent, returns to your account. I'm surprised that this doesn't exist in other countries, since it's very useful, and safer than paypal.

On the other, I don't have the extra funds. When you see my collection (and taking into account that I just started recently, you may think I have the money, but fact is, I just can't help it buying them, and spending all my monthly funds...

Just like me, I guess. Still thanks to the fact that I've been reading now only manga in French, I've been dismissing the dictionary lately. I managed to read L'homme sans Talent, without dictionary, and understood almost everything (had a little trouble with the haiku's, but I think that even an native speaker would have). Anyway, I think that we (i.e. French "readers") are very lucky when it comes to manga, since so many stuff is published. I've got a 200+ titles plan to buy list (https://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=0Ap6artxp_kfKdF9rUU55T01JdzlHMUdVdHg4YUpaUmc&hl=en#gid=0) where most of them are french ones. Problem is, there's no money, of course.
peroxid Oct 30, 2010 2:34 PM
Thanks for that recommendations. I'll keep it in mind to buy GoGo Monster in the future, will probably wait to complete samurai bamboo though.

Btw are you french (or do you happen to speak french)?
peroxid Oct 28, 2010 3:54 PM
I've read only Black and white, which I enjoyed a lot (though found the viz edition a bit poor), but I think that the art in samurai bamboo is phenomenal, it's really something.

Still I'm unfamiliar with the rest of his work, what would you recommend?
peroxid Oct 28, 2010 2:51 PM
Oh really? Because I have some books by Kana (even by the Made In Label), and I think that always get the job done properly. For example, I'm buying Matsumoto's Samourai Bambou (which is an awesome manga, if you're unfamiliar with it), and have no complains at all.

Are you familiar with Ping Pong? I'm also curious to read it, but, as I said, kind of poor right now, and I can't stand reading from the laptop.
It’s time to ditch the text file.
