These are the shows that almost made it to my favorites list but didn't because... (In order from left to right)
Monster: I put this on-hold only to come back to it years later. A bit of a slow start but picks up towards the end. Hard to re-watch considering its 74 episodes long.
Shin Sekai Yori: I was bored of episodes 4 to 7. The first arc went on a little too long and it really tried my patience, not to the point where I wanted to drop the show but enough to where I wasn't excited for the next episode. I loved the third arc however, almost to the point where I forgot about the earlier episodes but not quite. It was the first time I felt fear while watching an anime and that in itself is amazing. The pay off was amazing, but watching it weekly was a struggle because there is a lot of info dumping.
Mawaru Penguindrum: This is an anime where it is hard to grasp all the nuances and themes from just the first viewing. I have to watch it again and see how I feel
I've been watching anime before I even knew it was anime. Stuff like Sailor Moon, Pokemon, Digimon, Card Captor Sakura and Yu-gi-oh were exciting and different compared to the american cartoons i watched as a kid. I got really into anime while in middle school and I've been watching ever since. THANK YOU INTERNET!!!

I have a thing for hot black hair guys ^_^
my favorite example is Setsuna F. Seiei (He is the reason I watched Gundam 00, which actually turned out to be a pretty good show)
I love sadistic, psychotic, dark, evil characters, they are such a joy to watch!
As you can tell from my manga list I prefer anime over manga.
I don't like to drop animes once I've started watching it but there are just some that I can't force myself to continue watching.
I only put anime on-hold when I can't decide if I should keep watching it or drop it.

My Rating System
10 - This anime was created by a God!
9- Definitely recommend this
8- Few complaints other than that it was Pretty Good!!
7- Good, something to put on your "Plan to Watch" list at least
6- Fine, I wouldn't worry about missing this one
5- Average, Don't waste your time
4- Bad- I'll pay you not to watch this!
3-1- Awful, horrible, words can not describe what utter crap this anime was! Disgrace to all anime!
I score the anime I watch by how entertained I was, not by art, or soundtrack or characters or whatever else reviewers look for. All I care about is if the anime was able to hold my attention from beginning to end. If I feel like I'm forcing myself to finish an anime I'll usually give it a score of 5. But if there is an anime that I become obsessed with and cry tears of sadness when its over you can expect me to give it a score of 10.
The letter wasn't really so important. It was old, about the PsychoBuster which again didn't turn out to be that important in the end... symbv had a good version of the letter in the last episode thread and I think mine is in the novel spoilers thread. If you can't find them let me know and I'll copy and paste them in here.
Haha yeah I know what you mean, I'm on Spring Break right now and stuff has been easy, but I've got midterms when I go back .-.
Ahh, I just remembered mentioning it, and then I went and saw that I had haha but yeah for the same reason of having a rewarding job in which you only need a masters and certification, that is the same reason I want to be a Speech Therapist :)
Which reminds me! I went to sign up for a mandatory Freshmen Advising session to prepare classes for next semester and although I was going to do an undeclared workshop, they just declared me as Pre-Communicative Disorders :D
Now besides that, I get the whole thing about not knowing what job you could get with a certain degree. My friend and I have talked about that; She draws and would have probably majored in Art if it weren't for the fact that she knows she won't be able to easily find a well-paying job.
Oh! Noo, I bought it like 3 years ago at AX, it's a Boota plushie! xD
And yes, AX is the convention that is closest to where I live, so that's the only one I've gone to :] Ahhh, last year I saw Nobuhiko Okamoto!! I went to his panel and omg he was adorable~~ You can look up AX in Wikipedia and it has a chart with all the guests that have been there, and since I've gone 5 times I have seen quite a few ^^ (maybe I didn't go to their panels, but I saw them at the Opening ceremonies)
Oooo yeah, I hope you can!! It's always so exciting ^^
Ohhh haha yeah I know exactly what you mean. I've already passed 3 days of my spring break and all I've done is play Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon and watch Supernatural, and in all honesty I think that's the only way I'm going to spend my free time for the rest of it x)
Yes it was!! I mean I'm a sucker for romance but yes I agree, the focus on their relationship was great. Ooo, at first I was like "NO DON'T LET HIM LEAVE HES JUST A KID" but then I was like well if he feels he's a wolf then so be it, he's at that age and it's time for him to be on his own. About the marriage, gosh I would have loved to see that >< haha
They left out a lot, they have to... and changed a lot too, which they didn't have to do but I guess they are making a show so they can do what they want.
Really I just wish they'd left some scenes the same as they were in the novel. Wish it had been a son at the end, not a daughter. Wish they had left it as Satoru discovering the document which said that rats were human rather than Saki; that really was pointless. Wish they had left in the translation of the letter by the minoshiro midoru; I mean if they weren't going to read the letter, why show it at all? I wonder if that scene got cut and they didn't bother to edit the letter out of the safe.
I wish they'd shown the whole trial, shown more how Saki didn't agree with the punishment. In the anime she was out in the hall but in the novel she really says under her breath how she feels.
Wish they'd included the part about them deciding to name the child Shun if it was a boy or Maria if a girl. And the part where Satoru also remembered Shun.
And I wish they could have shown how much inner conflict there was. The final battle went on for hundreds of pages in the novel and yet it was over very quickly in the anime, less than an episode. We really got to hear Shun's explanations, Saki figuring it out but it was reduced to a few lines.
It was dramatic in the end how Saki was there, trying to avoid death feedback from the girl dying but it wasn't really apparent to me why she needed to be there at all. Kiomaru could have just run out by himself. In the novel it is much more dramatic, much more tense, they are counting down and then back up again, coordinating actions with Satoru, not just Kiomaru running out of a cave.
I think I am remembering too much the stuff at the end that I miss. More about Shun, Maria and Mamoru as well but since that was earlier and I was re-reading the last parts more recently, it is the end that I remember more.
Oh, and another major part of the book that they took out was more flashbacks. They really only had flashbacks of Shun with his face blacked out when they couldn't remember who he was but in fact Saki had flashbacks throughout and not just while narrating, she had them at the time and was remembering them.
And they had a lot more explanations about things in the world. The setting was much richer in the novels. Hopefully Vertical gets the 4500 pledges.
They're going really well!! I'm really enjoying all my classes (besides Statistics because my professor is one of those people that has a boring voice :P)
Nope haha I've just learned some of the basics and how to write hiragana and katakana. Still can't watch raw anime x)
Ahhhh you know I think I remember telling you I had actually considered being an occupational therapist as well! Hmmm well I remember hearing that it can be very rewarding to help people out but at the same time you have to remember that sometimes you have to help them out with their dirty work too .,. I didn't learn too much about it so don't take my words too seriously >,<
I have my tickets to attend my 6th year of AX xD Last year didn't go so well for me just cuhs my usual posse didnt go and the one friend that did accompany me only went because she had waited too long to get a refund on her tickets .-.
Ahhh my Spring break isn't for another 3 weeks so I'm still here trying to be productive but failing haha.
You say you started a new anime but with a :/ face, why?? :0
Yep, it definitely is. I have a cousin that for a long time I didn't talk to too much because we just didn't really have much to say to each other but I found out she was watching Supernatural and so we actually watched a couple episodes together and it felt nice ^^
Noticed you watched Ookami Kodomo! Oh gosh I just finished it like 20 minutes ago, it was great x)
Yup, I just finished my first week actually :) Taking Japanese, Interpersonal Communication, Statistics, and Psychology. Was taking that intro to Speech Pathology class but had to cancel for reasons.. I'll just take it next semester ('-v-)
I'm pretty sure I want to go with that major though :) I did attend one class session, and it was very interesting. Also, every Speech Therapist I've heard from said that it was such a great career, and the demand is great.
An Amnesia Let's Play was what got me into Let's Plays! I'm subscribed to I think 5 Let's players but my favorite is cryaotic :) (youtube username is ChaoticMonki but he doesn't like that anymore :P)
Ahh good for her! I really want to catch up now, but I did a bad thing - I started watching Supernatural, and I can't stop ⊙﹏⊙
Me neither, I've never been interested in reading the books or watching that movie, but I heard all the hype and a few of my friends were watching so I tried it out. It's just really interesting and thrilling and pretty funny xD
Actually I think the professor was pretty great, I guess I just don't click with Sociology haha
I said the same thing!! xD Lol well I ended up getting into the Japanese class so it doesn't' matter xP and besides, I don't think I would have been able to get into the Spanish one because it said something about how I can't be a heritage or native speaker of Spanish, and I mean I did grow up learning it, I just forgot everything when I stopped speaking it regularly, around when I turned 11
Oh gosh I know what you mean, I think this is why I've turned to American/British television xP I just wanted to have more in common with my relatives and people I meet who don't watch anime (。-_-。)
OMG YOU SCARED ME HOW HAVE YOU BEEN? xD Aha no worries, I understand :] I'm currently on my second week of break :D
Oh gosh I didn't keep up with K, I only watched that one episode Dx I just wasn't that into it, and then all those relatively negative reviews didn't help...
I have just the last ep of Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun to go!! :0
I've just been so addicted to watching Lets Plays on Youtube .,. Really, they're probably why I haven't accomplished some things x)
Yeah! I'm going to be taking an intro course in Spring, so unless I really don't enjoy the class, I'm going into Comm. Disorders :) and Thanks! :D
NO I HAVEN'T >< I haven't seen an ep since I last talked to you D; Although, since I have the 30 Rock facebook page liked, I GOT ALL THE NEWS OF HER MARRIAGE xDD I'm so happy for her :') ahaha
I had a lot of friends talking about Sherlock so as soon as Fall semester ended I started watching it and I LOVE IT!! I only have 2 more eps until I'm caught up .,.
Well!! Okay let's see, I remember telling you about me being pretty lonely, and yeah, I didn't make many friends x) But I made a few goo ones :)
As for classes, I did pretty well. Except for a B in Sociology (which I really thought I was going to fail 0:) I got an A in every class :D
So for next semester I had planned to take Japanese, but I was really thinking I should take Spanish since, well, I'm Mexican but so bad at Spanish xP Well, about 2 weeks ago I check my schedule and see it say that my Japanese class was cancelled!! D:< I tried to register for another one but none of the other open class sessions work with my schedule D; So I'm currently waitlisted for one. But I've noticed that there is a Spanish class that fits perfectly in my schedule, so who know what'll happen 8I
So yeah, that's me aha, how has your break been? :)
Well. I just took this assessment test that's supposed to help me find a career and I was actually surprised to see that on the list of suggested careers, speech-language pathologist was there :o
Yes, Liz is just amazing and I want to be her, but same, I actually wanna get married x)
Ahhh, season 3 started and I am still trying to finish the first ep of season 2 orz
I normally watch it on Netflix in my parents room but I figured it would be more convenient to watch on my laptop but something was wrong with the connection and now I've been bombarded with a bunch of work, a Soc. exam, Life skills exam, and Career exploration project, so I haven't really had time..
What really sucks tho is that one of my facebook friends TOTALLY POSTED A SPOILER AND AND UGGGGHHHHHH ;^;
Exactly. You took the words right out of my mouth, It's just PEFECTTTT!!! xD Haru is freakin hilarious and adorable and yes the plot is just great. Definitely love it :)
Ahh, haven't seen the second ep of K yet, and don't know when I will; you aren't the only one talking about how there's really not much of a good plot yet..
But yes, I enjoy SAO and Inu x Boku SS too x)
I mentioned those jobs 'cause I did see myself possibly doing them :) but yeah, not sure if I'm passionate about them.
Lol! xDD I think the reason why I love Liz so much is because I feel like she is me in the future xD In senior year I had to do this art project where I combined my face with a famous person's and I chose Tina and I actually got people saying "Wow! You guys really blended well! You know, you kind of look like her!" xDD I don't think I do, but yeah x)
Ahh I actually hear the opposite, that Season 1 started out good but got boring and that season 2 is really good. Either way, I really wana catch up x)
It is awesome!! :D Altho I haven't read the manga, but I probably will soon!!
Yeah I'm still not even sure what the plot of K is aha.
Ohh haven't heard of that one, sounds interesting tho.
Besides those two, I'm watching SAO (Altho I'm 2 eps behind) and altho it's not from this season I'm enjoying Inu x Boku SS for some reason. I say "for some reason" because there's a part of me that's like"It's okay.." but then again I laugh in every episode xD
Lol yess x) I posted on my facebook that I was in archery and a bunch of my cousins who are crazy about the Hunger Games liked it xP I actually just joined it because since the beginning of high school I told myself I'd either do that or fencing and there was no fencing
Well.. I've been looking at jobs that are in demand and so far I'm interested in computer/software programming, occupational therapy, and speech language pathology.
Yes! Friends :D It took a while, and only one of them I've actually given my number to xP but yeah I've made some friends, mainly in Archery :] As for in classes, there are 2 where I'm completely lonely..
Awesome!! xDD I haven't watched 30 Rock in a while but I started during the summer and managed to reach Season 3 x) and as for the Walking Dead, I also started it during the summer, finished the first season, and now that Season 2 is on Netflix I'm watching it there x)
Haha, I'd feel uncomfortable having it in my room x)
Dawh!! :3 And this is why I wanted to start talking again ^^
Ahhh yea I know what you mean. I see you started K and Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun x)
Yes it is _._
Wow those sound like interesting clubs!! I ended up joining Archery club and the Japan club :]
Yes! Those professors never replied to me, but I just swapped into a class that didn't require instructor's consent, and I'm glad I did! I did end up wasting money when I couldnt return textbooks I had gotten for my English class :[ but yeah I'm taking Philosophy now (more so titled"Critical Reasoning") and I actually really like it :D
Classes have actually been really easy so far!!.. I'm scared I'm doing something wrong D: I've only had one exam, a music one, and I only studied like an hour but I managed a 92% :0 I did only one 10 minute assignment during the weekend and I'm not behind on any of my classes. Right now it's 11 PM, and I haven't done any homework, and I don't think I will, cuhs I really don't have anything to do! Then again, I do some of my assignments during my long ass breaks between classes, but basically, classes are good :)
Wow! :o Well I wish you the best in your studies and work >< and like I said, I understand, don't worry :)
It's summer for me everyday! lol But I start school in 2 weeks, so I won't have much time as well. I also have work to deal with -_-
You must be getting ready to graduate middle school huh? :P
I appreciate that. I miss chatting with you. You make MAL fun for me :D
Oh it's the same, you can get it at 16 but you just need proof of drivers ed classes ><
No it's not bad, but the buses that I need to take to get there pass by some shady places o.o
It's kinda fun taking the bus actually haha, but one of the buses cost $1.50 so if I were to take a bus every day it would be like $15 a week (luckily with those friends and my mom picking me up on Fridays it's not that much).
Wooow, for a semester here it's $123 ;_;
We had a club fair today but there were SO MANY PEOPLE AND CLUBS I didn't get a good look at everything, but I really wanna join some to make friends xP
So my main dilemma that's really freaking me out is that I either take the English class that I don't really need (hence wasting money), or a take a "higher-learning" class .-. I already had to contact the professors to see if they'll take me in, but I mean I'm already freaking out with the classes I have, I hope this class doesn't make me freak out more T_T ( and that's when my school's Counseling and Psychological services come in :P)
Yup, taking English, Sociology, Music, and Counseling, although my English class might change to Philosophy if that professor lets me in.
Wow, that's cool! I'm sure it'll be worth it :)
Oh wow :0 Ahh I totally lagged it with driving >< Two years ago I started learning but then out of nowhere I stopped for like a year and so my dad's all pissed at me for not knowing how to drive by now xD But man even if I knew how to drive I doubt I'd want to park there, almost $300 for a parking permit :o (well that's for a full year).
Lol actually everyday I have a two hour break in between my classes, and they're not even far from each other so i end up sitting in some area near my next class like a loner for like an hour xP
Lol the first day I took the bus was terrible cuhs when going, I missed my stop and had to get back on the bus and ride it a second time (I had ridden it all the way to it's station xD) and I still had another bus to take after!! (I was so glad I had decided to leave early that day :P) but for the days after, I've managed to hitch rides back home with friends from high school, arriving home a bit earlier.
Which reminds me, my first week is over and I have made 0 friends! ;_;
Today though I only had one class for 50 minutes, so my mom picked me up during her lunch break :] (I still took a bus tho.. but it was free with my student ID)
Ahh, my classes are pretty good so far :) And all of my professors have a good sense of humor x) The only thing that bothers me is that I took an IB exam in English and got a score good enough to get credit for 6 units, but my freakin high school was late on sending the score reports and so I may not be able to even get the credit :<
Ahh, I'm Undeclared!! What about you? :]
Yay! :DD Yes!! I remember how funny they were xDD ;v;
Awesome!! Well actually today was just my 3rd day haha, but it's been really good :) It's just that it's SO HOT!! I swear, every day so far I've had these intense sweating events xPP and then I have to take the bus so I've done so much walking and by the time I get home at 5 or 6 I just feel dead _._
As for life, it's good too :] But oh gosh during the summer I just went slightly above my usual laziness when I spent hours on the computer and on my phone reading manga with my manga app xPP
So how long have you been going for, and how has it been for you?? :D
I hadn't been talking to anyone for a while on here, and then if you see there on my profile there someone that started talking to me and I was like "It's fun talking to people... I'm gonna try talking to her again!" (^^")
:)

You must be getting ready to graduate middle school huh? :P
I appreciate that. I miss chatting with you. You make MAL fun for me :D
Wooow, for a semester here it's $123 ;_;
Which reminds me, my first week is over and I have made 0 friends! ;_;
:)
